Anyone interested in a recipe exchange?

@officedronette shared a recipe me with me yesterday and it was super delish! So it got me thinking that it might be kinda fun to do a weekly recipe exchange here. We could share a favorite or a new recipe that we tried that week. I really enjoy cooking, and am always looking for new inspiration. And pinterest is kind of hit and miss with the recipes. Would anyone be interested in doing this with me? Or is it a lame idea?

I do like this idea, but not to send myself into a shame spiral, I don't always cook in any given week. So I think it could be a nice thing to have - I wouldn't be able to participate every week.

Me too. Sometimes we just have pancakes for dinner or frozen meals

I'm thinking that people can just contribute when they're able, no pressure. If you're not able to contribute something new, you could still be inspired by someone else's recipe. I don't make new things every week, but I have a lot of tried-and-true recipes that I'd be willing to share. Would it make more sense to do this less often than weekly?

I heart recipes, but I eat primal (no grains, mostly.) I'll contribute the best recipes I've had that people have loved!

kristhegirl I'd love it if you contributed your primal recipes! I'm currently gluten-free, and have considered going primal, but get so overwhelmed by it because I have no idea where to even start.

Lol I didn't even realize I was doing that. I grew up with my family doing the same & I kinda don't know how to follow a recipe. As "simple" as it may seem..

So this is kind of still in brainstorm stage right now, so I'm totally open for suggestions. This is what I'm thinking right now:

I'll start a thread on Wednesdays asking people to share a recipe (it could be a recipe you've been using for awhile and would like to share, or a new one that you recently tried and loved). To post the recipe. you can type it out, take a picture of the written-out recipe, or post a link to where you found it.

A few people have said that they don't always follow a recipe - I'm the same way. I usually change something - so if I find a recipe somewhere and change it at all, I'll notate what I did differently. 

I'm not going to worry about tagging people in the weekly posts. I'm fine with anyone hopping in and contributing. And even if you don't have something to share, maybe you'll find something that you'd like to try.

And I'm up for whatever recipes people want to post - meals, sides, baked goods, etc. 

So basically, I'm thinking it will be kind of like the WFD posts, but with recipes.
