Hello board. I'm back, I used to be thisdecaflife and I'm a_est on IG.
Dd is really into potty training other than we seem to have a poop issue. She doesn't want to go on the potty but she also doesn't want to go in a diaper so she keeps trying to hold it. Any tips on getting her to relax? She crosses her legs and holds it, if I pick her up she gets upset because she "doesn't want to poop on momma"

So glad you're back!
Where does she eventually poop?
After trying the run-around-naked thing, I just parked DS on the potty watching a tv show on the iPad (tv is a rare and special treat). He was so distracted that he pooped and didn't care. I think it normalized it and gave him confidence.

So today she was in undies and ran over asking for a diaper. I asked if she wanted the potty and she said no. She ended up going in the diaper.

Ugh that sucks. R pooped in the tub last night. Yeah......
We're on and off with the pt over here. Some days R is all about it and then I'll put her in pull ups. Then today? She pooped in 4 pull ups! Wtf.
Fortunately we've never had a not pooping issue. I would love a little less poop in this house between her and A! Everytime we take her to the park, no matter what time of day, she poops. I jokingly tell dh that if we do ever need to get her to poop I'm taking her to the park.
Of course you don't want to let her hold it. That's no good. What does she do when she sits on the potty? Does she look at books?
It took a little bit for Henley when we were potty training and what worked for us was letting her watch us poop. Sounds gross but I think she was scared. I kept reassuring her it was not a big deal and everyone did it. She wanted to look in the toilet too. It grossed me out a little but over the following few days she was trying and eventually went.
DD has always come in the bathroom with me. Right now she only sits on the potty to go pee bs he doesn't like read or anything. She just goes is she actively feels the need to pee. I don't put her on the potty myself.
