I will probably just end up letting her sleep with me and just hope it isn't too hard to get her back into a crib. She isn't a very good sleeper. At daycare they tend to just let her nap wherever she falls asleep.
Morning ladies! All of our stuff is packed so last night was the first of many in a hotel room.. Operation have K sleep in her pack N play was a failure. I'm afraid all the hotel rooms and driving are going to break any good sleep habits we do have. Has anyone had luck with a pack N play mattress to make it a little softer?
I tried (not successfully) to put a fleece blanket under a fitted play yard sheet. I do this with a thin blanket in his crib because we have a waterproof mattress and it crinkles super loud when you put him in it, and the blanket dampens the noise a bit. DS wasn't having it. I co-slept with him both nights in the hotel.

DS went right back to the crib when we got home, sort of. He naps there no problem, but now he co-sleeps with us when he wakes MOTN.

Sort of is better than not at all. In the scheme of things everything will be unfamiliar for her so I suppose a week of co-sleeping probably won't break my donkey who occasionally moonlights as a horse.
jeniece47, We let LO sleep in his bouncer the one night we stayed in the hotel with him. We also bring our white noise machine everywhere we take him. So we always have that constant.
I three weeks we are going on a trip and he is going to sleep in a pnp three nights. I am #scared.
sweetsurprise, congrats on your sleep! FX that the sleep training did the trick!
My little booger has has a viral infection since Sunday. He woke up with a fever that lasted 2.5 days and spiked at 103.5. Then he got a wicked rash. I took him to the doctor on Monday and she said he couldn't go back to daycare until Thursday. This was me:
I thought that might be a little overkill, but it turns out she was pretty spot on. He was pretty much done with a fever by Tuesday night, and his rash is almost gone today. I'm pretty sure if I had tried to take him back earlier and his rash was worse, they would've made me take him home. So I had three days at home with a sick babe. It was great and horrible all at the same time. Like a sour patch kid.
So now I'm back at work, catching up with yous guise and with my workload. Anything I missed out on? Catch me up!
Poor baby! Glad he's feeling better though! And welcome back

She will still nap in her swing but we didn't bring it because it is too big. I did bring the rest of her bedtime stuff and plan to keep her evening routine the best I can.

When we took our trip a couple of weeks ago dd would go down in the pnp no problem, but after she woke up she co-slept with us. Surprisingly she went back to her crib no problem when we got home and has slept better since. I'm expecting this current trip to ruin that though. We've also tried folding up a blanket and putting it under the pnp sheet. Seemed to help a little, maybe? Good luck!

I didn't think about the blanket under a sheet. That might work and keep it on place. It's worth a try. Fx the pack N play and switch back to the crib work again for you.
