Still Team Green, but we wavered there for a minute! We have a disc that has the genitals on it. I can't say I'm not tempted to peek haha.
Anyways- I was there for about 2 hours. It was actually pretty tough! I'm surprised. I think laying on my back was difficult because I was getting light headed and having some nausea. But, all worth it!
I have over a pound of baby in there already! I'm 18 weeks today.
Here's what's going on:
Baby A
Baby A's HB is 144. He is measuring ahead at 18 weeks 3 days and already weighs 8 ounces! We saw him put his fingers in his mouth. Definitely a thumb sucker. Actually an every finger sucker. His heart and brain look great, although they had a hard time getting a pic of the right side of the heart because little one is a mover and shaker. We may have to go back to get another one. Baby A's feet are "huge"- a quote from U/S tech. Taking after daddy's size 15!
Baby A can'ting like Mommy
"huge" foot
Baby A has a peripheral placental insertion, which means the cord didn't go right in the middle of the placenta. My doctor didn't seem too concerned about it, but I think they'll probably keep an eye on it.
Baby B
Baby B's HB is 147. He is measuring ahead at 18 weeks 4 days and already weighs 9 ounces! His heart and brain look great. His feet are not as huge, but he has long fingers. I didn't do much looking at Baby B on the screen unfortunately because I was laying on my side at that point not feeling well! But we got some good pictures!
Baby B looking absolutely precious
waving hi!
Baby B's placenta has a marginal previa. They'll keep an eye on it. Both placentas are anterior.
I go back in 4 weeks for another ultrasound! (Unless the MFM decides that he needs more or clearer pictures of something- which he usually does which means we'll go back sooner).
