After the AS we'll do a FB announcement that's superhero themed, but we're not announcing to family until the end of first tri at the earliest. As it stands one friend knows, but he also knows how long it's taken to get here and all that stuff. If we have to untell I'm fine with him knowing...that being said as every day passes I'm getting more and more excited
I'm wearing maternity pants today (bought some at gap yesterday on a whim) and OMG I forgot how freakin comfortable these pants are. I am planning on heading back to the mall today after work to get another pair so I can rotate. DH thought I was going crazy with how excited I was this morning in my maternity pants!

I havent thought as far as announcements yet. Only 5 people know besides you folks. My parents, his mom, my BFF and then one of my friends. She was at my BFF's house with me yesterday for a birthday party and looked at me and said, oh, I meant to tell you. If you arent pregnant already, you will be by the wedding (we're both bm's for my BFF in late august) because she had a dream I was showing at the wedding. I'll be 16 weeks if all goes well. But the way she said it my face answered her question right away and she was laughing so hard. Thankfully no one else seemed to have heard her! I'm debating how to tell my sisters. I told my mom I wouldnt tell them until after my U/S on the 15th. But we didnt have plans for fathers day settled, so I'm thinking maybe once I know this one is at least not ectopic, we'll plan to have lunch or something and I'll tell them then.

What style did you get? I see they now have the 'inset' panel where it's just some elastic on the sides. They didn't have those when I was KU before so I'm super excited to try them! I figured they'd be perfect for early on (now)!!

I am going maternity pants shopping this weekend! Hopefully I'll be able to find some winter maternity shirts on sale for the holidays.
I told my mom and my best friend over the weekend. It was not what I had envisioned (we originally wanted to do something cute at the 8 week mark, but all that got shot to hell with the two CPs, so now it just is what it is and I NEEDED to tell someone lol) but they were both excited regardless. I don't think we'll tell anyone else (including any of the other parents) until we have an U/S picture to share. I want proof there's a little bugger in there before we fully dish our news.
Do some of you already have your "big reveal" planned out? Like for the whole friends/family/social media?
I think we are going to take a picture in these cute momma and Dad tees and hold a piece of string that has the "worth the wait" onesie clothes pinned to it.

Other than my husband and you guys, we haven't told a single person. I was with my mom yesterday and debated telling her, but I didn't. I don't know why I'm such a freak about it, but I just don't want to tell anyone until I can see and or hear the heartbeat. Even just telling my mm I feel like she'd tell my sister, who would then probably tell 1 person, and so on. I think I have trust issues!
I do have a feeling we'll be fully outed sooner than I'd like. We have a family reunion coming up in the earlier part of July and I have a feeling my gut will be hanging out all over the place by then. So I'm hoping to make it 9-10 weeks and will have seen the bean active on an ultrasound at least.
This pinterest hole of second child pregnancy announcements is giving me all the feels.
Especially the sad-faced toddlers getting eviction notices in their cribs. I'm getting all misty-eyed.
Have you seen the one where it's just a picture of safety pins? Bigger safety pins for mom and dad, smaller safety pins for the kids and there's a small safety pin inside the mama safety pin. I think I might do that one!

We haven't told anyone yet! Well, I have told my medical peeps - OB, endocrinologist and dermatologist - but that's it. We will be telling our families in Father's Day weekend assuming that our u/s on the 19th goes well, but won't do any official fb announcements for a long while.
I'm so bloated I'm forced to wear a loose top today. I'm tiny, but I have no ab muscles, so my gut is all, hey what up world?
I have nothing to do at work today, so I plan to just hang out here.
This is totally me as well! The bloat is bad today. Plus after DS my stomach just takes on the pregnancy shape no matter how big or small it is. I could totally let it hang out and take a picture and tell people I'm 6-7 months KU and they'd fully believe me.
I need to find some loose tops. I need new clothes regardless of being KU, and it's too soon for maternity tops so I need summery loose tops. Anyone know of a good place to find some?

You're not a freak about it; it's totally normal for people to want to wait until later on. And I totally get what you mean on worrying people will blab. When I told my mother, I heavily scolded her about not telling anyone else. I'm hoping she'll keep her word.
I do agree about the belly; I think that makes the difference in when I can/have to tell people. There seems to be a big range as to when people start to show. And frankly, for me, I think even the first tri bloat will tip people off before I'm ready to tell them. I can only say "I'm just gaining weight" so many times before they start to suspect things.
chocolate I got the perfect trousers which have the half panel. I tried the pants with the inset panel and they were not super comfy....but I might not be big enough for them yet and that's why.

I haven't done much clothing shopping in quite a while, but I imagine you can find loose tops just about anywhere. I think it's pretty "in" at the moment.

Yeah the problem is a lot of them are too trendy, like short and boxy.
We've told a few people. Some friends figured it out pretty quick when I wasn't drinking at a bbq. And another couple who just had their first in April we told because she knew we were trying.
We also ended up telling DH's mom and step-father last night. His grandmother was passing away and DH said that grandma knew something they didn't. They figured it out and she sobbed with joy. I think she was really comforted by finding out that she's going to be a grandma as she was dealing with the loss of her mother. It was really sweet. Anyway, other than that, I haven't told anyone else.
We plan on giving cute little gifts to our family members to tell them. As far as social media announcement, DH is building a rocking labrador (since we're doing a puppy theme for the nursery), so we'll announce with his latest project.

Oh bummer, I was hoping they would be more for these early stages. I actually preferred the full panel the bigger I got with DS.
So, I keep burping, so thats fun. Pretty sure coworkers are going to start asking questions soon. I'm trying really hard to act casual but I feel like I'm going to fly apart. *snip*
I want to be all
but, must be .
I told the 9 month old I nanny. I think my secret is safe.
Hahaha this is totally me today. I called my mom the second I saw the 2 pink lines. DH is at work and I want to tell him in person, so I am trying not to tell anyone else before I tell him, but I'm seriously going crazy keeping this information to myself. I told my boss today, mostly because we were doing long-term planning and it was relevant to the conversation, but also just because I can't keep it to myself!!! I don't know how I'm going to make it through 8 more hours until DH gets home. My two best girlfriends are coming over for dinner tonight and I'm going to tell them, even though DH won't be home yet.
Well last night MH rolled over and put his leg on me (on my stomach) and I (jokingly) said "No! You'll squish the baby!" and promptly fell back asleep. He told me this morning he felt really bad and even had a dream about squishing the baby. Poor guy! I apologized and told him I was teasing.... LOL
Ha! That's really cute. I slept like crap last night. Everytime I rolled over I had a new exciting/ridiculous thought/revelation and couldn't fall back asleep.
QUESTION! Is getting your blood drawn after a + HPT only for cases of concern? My RE said they don't need to see me since they didn't actually start treatment with me yet (makes sense). She said to "call your OB and try to get in as soon as possible," but when I called they said they don't need to see me until my u/s appt mid July. Is that the norm? If so, I don't know where I got the idea that you should have blood drawn to confirm.
My OB said the same thing. I'm going in on 7/3, but nothing until then.
I already blurted it out to my best friend, my parents, his parents, and then 3 of my other best friends after a baby shower we were all at on Saturday (the DAY I found out). I'm really not good at secrets... I just really don't mind any of them knowing. I'm going to tell 2 other friends in the next week or so. Other than that, no announcement until 12 weeks, and I don't know what we'll do. Probably just a cute picture - I kind of want to mail out a card before posting on Insta or FB.
@britterrss, I'm glad I'm not the only crazy one here. I WANT TO TELL ALL THE PEOPLE!!!!

kellybenelly83 nope! Not crazy one bit! With DS I had purchased most of my maternity clothes before I was even KU with him because I had great coupons and sales.

omg I feel ridiculous buying because I'm like 5 minutes pregnant, but its such a good deal for them! its about $140 worth of tops!
Also DH took me to a garage sale on Saturday and I bought $175 worth of cloth diapers for $40. Even he was stoked about that one!
What'd you get? I so rarely see cloth diapers at garage sales! I am waiting on figuring out the sex of this baby to expand my stash, but I love looking at cute diapers!
