So, i'm in the middle of dr googling this whole thing. And let me start at the beginning.
But Ethan we EBF for the first 6/7 months, we intro'ed formula when I had to stop. Received BM till 8 months and Formula ever since. We HAD been doing WCM (cause Ethan is not a coconut or goat fan) at breakfast since 10 months, upped to dinner as well about two weeks ago, and I just started to give him one more sippy of milk instead of Formula.
Up until this week when we added the extra cup of milk (making it 3 sippys filled to 6oz a day) everything was fine. No dairy allergies that we know of. All of a sudden he got this rash- and you all know I'm the queen of rashes after James. We've done everything and they are starting to blister and scab open.
I think I just had an epiphany- could he be allergic and he wasn't getting enough direct milk to do this?
He did just pop a tooth and another is on the way- but its continuing to get worse- so I eliminated that. Prescription Yeast cream isn't working- nor coconut oil- not yeast. Persists through CD or sposie- tried different brands. Baking soda baths no help. All the creams don't work (cd and non cd safe) About the only thing that has given him relief is California baby diaper area wash.
Am I insane? Am I missing something else? I plan to ask him to be tested next weds at our apt with stranger doctor. But we all know internet strangers are better
Sounds painful and annoying I have no advice but I don't think it's a dairy allergy if he's not having other symptoms like GI upset, hard poops, loose poops, vomiting. I'll be curious to see what the doc has to say!

@notyourmom - was Ethan the one who recently had white poop? If so...he could be lactose intolerant? My cousins kid has a similar situation & that's what it turned out to be...

babycaps Yes! He had the white poop the other day. And his poops fluctuate so much i would not be able to judge via poop consistency.

That was me that asked Make sure to mention the white poop & rash at the same apt. My cousins kid does great on soy - and can still have cheese & yogurt, small amounts of ice cream etc.

This is why parents eat their young in some species- I was going to say something to babycaps and well...

So DS1 can do small amounts of dairy but more than 16 oz of milk a day and his eczema flares up and he has issues pooping. It could be an intolerance more than a true allergy like Bennie suggested.

Can they do other allergy testing too? Maybe its not milk but something else he's eaten or been exposed to, like washing detergents or something. My son developed eczema, also. Could it be that?

I buy my detergents in bulk- ive been using the same detergent container for about 30 days. :/
Oh, is it any better? That's a long time to wait. They couldn't work you in?
I could try but his last serving of milk was probably yesterday morning (at the latest- it was probably the previous night tbh) and its FINALLY started to heal. Its not life threatening- so no point in moving it up and paying extra kwim?
