LO's Christening is next Saturday. We're having a yard party after the church so this weekend is full of errands. I'm debating of if I should just go shop by myself or if I should pack everyone in the family truckster. On one hand it's nice to get out alone, on the other hand DH already gets all the baby time and he's a good hefter for all the heavy stuff like soda and beer. It's only 8:30 here and I don't want to lose the whole day to errands!!
Seems LO has mastered getting from her belly back up to sitting. Lots of rocking back and forth on hands and knees! H calls it tiny twerking. She's going to take off any second and then I'm fuckkkkkkkkked.
Afternoon date today with H. I'm seeing shrimp tacos in my future. It's on the edge of diet cheat, but not full pizza. I REALLY WANT A WHOLE PIZZA.

H got up with the baby, I slept in for another two and a half hours... and Munchkin kindly had a massive stinky diaper for daddy while I was asleep. H also made pancakes.
pixie523 eat all the pizza! I had pizza and wings last night. Mmmmmm and donuts this morning. Whoops wildflower810 holy crap! Glad the H has been awesome today
I'm at work. No weddings Til later. Then work again tomorrow. Liam fell off the bed last night and I was sooooo upset I let that happen. We have a friggen king size bed. He was in the middle. I watched him between scooping the formula for his bottle. Bam on the floor. Thank GOD he landed feet first then plopped down. It was crazy like he was falling in slow motion and I was paralyzed and couldn't get to him. But it was also so fast. He cried for a few seconds. I finished the bottle and he stopped crying the second it was in his mouth. I couldn't sleep worried about him all night. We snuggled in bed after his first wake up
littleapplemom have a fun family errand day! You gotta soak up extra time with baby and the available help.
wildflower810 you luckyduck! MH is at work so I got the massive stinky diaper. ..and no pancakes, haha.
pixie523, I can't believe your lady will be crawling Amy day now! Enjoy the tiny twerking while it lasts.
jjh1119, so sorry about the falling incident! I always hope the mom is okay when that happens. How you doing now?
MsNicole06,that's a sneaky way for your mom to tell you what she thinks. Are we all going to have to learn those ways?
Baby had a bath and I got to do laundry after the diaper incident this morning, so now she's napping and I will likely miss the farmer's market. But I get all day with just her so maybe we can make it somewhere later- we'll see what the day has in store for us! Harpy Saturday!!!
Maybe this should have gone in yesterday's confessions thread, but I'm still feeling awkward about taking LO out alone. Or maybe I'm just a home body and seldom went out anyway before baby.
pixie523 I hear you on the twerking. My LO will scoot backwards on her activity mat until she gets one of the poles between her legs and start rocking trying to get unstuck. Baby pole dancing!
wildflower810 Sounds like the good start to the morning.
pixie523 eat all the pizza! I had pizza and wings last night. Mmmmmm and donuts this morning. Whoops wildflower810 holy crap! Glad the H has been awesome today

gldnbearz Maybe it gets less awkward to take baby out? It's funny you mention this now, because just yesterday I was reflecting on how it's so crazy that I'm toting this little creature around with me. I'm acutely aware of her presence in the back seat, and then carrying her around...idk if that awareness feeling goes away?

Family update: hold on to your seats because the crazy story is even crazier! Also if hormonal prepare tissues.
We met with the "brother" and the "father". DH remembers him from his childhood! So apparently they have searched for DH for the last 23 years! The way they found him on FB is that I have known the brother's wife for many years. She was a regular customer of mine. She friended me randomly on Facebook and he saw my last name and wondered if there was a connection. He saw my profile picture and immediately knew it was him with me (our wedding photo). Anyway the father says that he dated MIL up until DH was 8. He wanted to marry her and he wanted his name on the birth certificate but she said no to both. Then he broke up and married someone else which is when DH was 8 and she said to him "you will never see your son again". She moved away. He said the last thing he remembers is dropping him off at the bus stop and DH said " I'll see you later Dad" and then never again. He looks just like DH! They even walk the same. It was so crazy! What's worse is MIL has been freaking teasing him!! With pictures of me and Isaac saying she gets to know her DIL and Grandson. So we are going to get a paternity test but I am convinced! DH says his story fills in all the holes about his mother's story. Which we knew there were but didn't know specifics.
Wtf songbirdsinging55 I hope he is the father and I hope they can salvage their relationship. And your mil sucks. I don't even know if I would even want contact with her. That's so crazy! So H remembers him as his dad then? And then your mil told him he died?!

songbirdsinging55 that's amazing. Who would have thought facebook could be so useful. This reminds me of my family's long lost relative story: We found my great-grandmother at a bingo hall. My grandfather won and the announced his name and she sent a friend to see if it was her ex-husband turns out her son who she hadn't seen since he was a small child. We have yet to find my grandpas sister. My great-grandfather divorced his wife and took the kids so GG couldn't see them. Then got remarried and new wife didn't want my grandpa around so he was sent away to live with his grandmother and never saw his sister or father again. 40 years later my grandpa meets his mother at bingo and she lived 10 minutes from him. We even made the National Enquirer.
Apparently (according My mom) DD will sleep through the night if we just sooth her without picking her up out of the crib. We just need to give her a few minutes to cry then go sooth if she doesn't stop but the key is we are not allowed to pick her up. Last night she woke up twice and both times needed food. I got this lecture this morning after we talked about the crying at 10:30 and 11:30. I'm so over listening to how I should be doing things.
When DD needed a bath after she peed mid diaper change (DH had pee all over his chest) I was informed that really I needed to put a whole towel in the sink for her to sit on. It would seem babies need a nice padded surface to sit on when getting a bath. My mom has a thick rubber mat in her sink that DD was sitting on.
I feel better after venting here. DH is at least has been buffering great. My mom and I shouldn't live under the same roof. We get along better when we're not together this much. We haven't had in issue in the last 7 months of her being down by us a week at a time because she stays at her own house.
pixie523 wow she's making quick progress! Pizza. Yum. wildflower I hope the rest of your day is going as well as the beginning. jjh1119 that's sorry about your LO. I hope you get a lot snuggles in. gldnbearz I'm the same! I don't have a carrier that she likes and I don't think she's ready to sit in a shopping cart yet. And I can't carry a 21 pound baby around grocery shopping. Ugh. littleapplemom I hope YHs mood improves. @songbirdsinging wow what a crazy story. I'm glad you guys met up with them and I hope they are able to start a relationship. I don't even think I could talk to your MIL after finding all of that out. Good luck with everything! MsNicole06 that's a crazy story too! I'm so happy they were able to reconnect and I hope you're able to find his sister. We also have a screeches today. It's pretty adorably annoying hash. I feel bad because DH is sleeping because he's working 3pm-3am but I can't really stop her. We're going to head to the store after her nap. What is everyone using for sunscreen on their littles?

Eh, I think the big lug was just hangry. Cheeseburger and good. I let him come home. wildflower810, yay for DH being awesome today. jjh1119, I'm waiting for the same to happen. I know he's going to take a leap off the bed. songbirdsinging55, whoa. DH found his long lost cousins on fb. sadie74, we use aveeno baby.

@jjh119 so sorry that happened! Hope you both are ok. I know its tough. I still get mad at myself for the times I let my ds fall.
gldnbearz I rarely EVER take ds out by myself. Unless doctors appointment and maybe 2 times that I really wanted to test my stroller out lol. (The park and Target, very short trips) Other than that we're used to being in the house. Him getting upset outside the house still gives me anxiety attacks.
RE baby twerks: my SO calls it humping lol. During this last week alone, ds has started "fake crawling." He was grabbing stuff pulling himself. And launching himself and turning... Amazing progress.
Yesterday the server was down for me, I had to get on my laptop instead of app.
Thanks everyone, Liam is totally fine today. I know basically every parent has this moment when their kid falls off the bed. I just couldn't believe how quick. And he learned how to sit up from laying down now. Jesus. Slow down kid.
Drive by post. LO won't go to sleep so I just put her in the crib and sat down. She's playing happily and making gurgling sounds. GO TO SLEEP KID!
We tried prunes for the first time today and she loved them! She was even grabbing the spoon and feeding it to herself. (Normally she isn't really into food at all.) Needless to say, a bath was extremely necessary tonight.
nerdalert ugh I hate it when that happens. Especially because they lay there all playing and being super cute. All I can think is "just go to sleep! I want some time to myself." Hopefully she'll get it out of her system in a few minutes.
