I have yet to call my dad's aunt to thank her for the birthday card and gift I got in the mail TWO weeks ago because I just can't handle a 20 minute conversation about her Daughters of the American Revolution meetings, her bell practice, or what she had for lunch for the past 6 months.... I just.... UGH. Horrible person right here.
I have never and have no desire to read or see 50 shades. It makes me think of "I hope they serve beer in hell" which is so disgusting I can't believe I read the 10 pages I read!
I don't understand what all the hype is about. I was told that I absolutely had to read it and after hearing everyone rave about it I eventually caved. It disgusted me. Here is a really good and hilarious book review on 50 shades.
DD is still on the bottle and she will be 19 months on the 3rd. I don't know WTF to do anymore. I have tried 5 different sippy cups and they work for a few days and then she just wants the bottle. I feel like a bad mom when we go to story time or gymnastics and she just randomly starts asking for the bottle, it seems like no one else ever has that problem around me.
I don't mean to be all "have you tried ____?" but here I go anyway. So have you tried these
or something similar with just a straw? Maybe she will find it easier and you can skip sippys all together. I wish I went straight to these, they are inexpensive and DD loves them.
shmee I've tried a few cups with different straw types that she will use for water but refuses for milk - the zoli, thinkBaby and tommy tippee. They aren't as basic as this though, maybe thats what I need to do? Just try something simple. And you're right, they're cheap enough that I won't feel bad trying if they don't work out. Thanks!
Oh I have another one that I thought of in the gif thread...I've never watched The Office.
Me either. I did try Parks and Rec and didn't care for it. Strangely I like Brooklyn Nine Nine and I am told that's like The Office, police version. People also say Parks and Rec is like the office, so who knows what I would think of The Office.
I've never watched 30 Rock. Tina Fey makes me cringe (which I know is a huge UO) so I just never gave it a chance.

I hate everything about cow's milk, especially the smell. I made a half hearted attempt a few times to get DS to drink it, but after spitting out one sip, I didn't push it. But I tried, right? Right?? Yeah, I just don't want to buy milk and I don't want to smell it on his breath. *vomit* We do whole milk yogurt and cheese instead, and he was BF for over 2.5 years.

*GASP said the dairy farmer's wife* JK don't drink store bought milk. Cheese and yogurt is okay but the things they do to milk to give it shelf life are absolutely terrible. We drink raw milk *GASP said every person out there afraid of listeria*
Before pregnancy I was healthy and went to the gym 3 times a week. I have a girlfriend that is super healthy and runs 5 miles a day. Well we are meeting for lunch and she says "wherever you wanna go is fine." BIG MISTAKE, cause were going to Five Guys.
ETA: My confession is I just want to see her eat a burger! buhahaha

We eat enough pizza that if we drive by a Papa John's store when we're out anywhere, my 2-year old recognizes the logo and says "pizza is delicious." And this thread reminded me I didn't take a prenatal this morning, again.
I really hate showering. In the winter, I typically only shower twice a week. I'm a dirty girl.
I was putting lotion on sometimes 4 times a day and I drink a min of 80 oz of water and my skin was still cracking. I wash the important bits with a wash cloth but this is me too.

The Office was one of my favorite shows, but I couldn't get into Parks & Recs. I tried the first and second season, and it still didn't do anything for me. I guess I just don't like Amy Poehler.

Totally understandable! I don't have problems with dry skin but when people side-eye me for it my excuse is that showering everyday is bad for your skin and hair. Which it is. But that's not really why I don't do it!

My sister is like this. I don't understand it...
The shower is my haven! I get away from everyone and everything, even if for just 5 minutes. I let the hot water hit my face, the back of my neck and I just feel the stress washing away with the water. Sometimes I shower 2x a day, just a minute or two to wake up and then a real shower at the end of the day. Even the sound of the shower running is relaxing to me.

I feel your pain, My daughter is 18 months and takes a sippy to bed. I cannot make her stop, I know it's a horrible habit but how can I stop it?!

That's what I used to get DD off her bottle! And don't feel bad, DD was two before she finally gave it up. One day she just walked up to the trash can and threw it in and that was that! Some kids are just late bloomers and I'm the type of mom that's ok with that. The fact that you are worried about it shows that you care.

The Office was only good for the first few seasons. Then it got boring, repetitive, and a waste of time that was just begging to be put out of it's misery. Pretty much like most sitcoms. Just catch an episode here or there in syndication. It stays funnier that way.

No shade from me.. I would secretly probably do the same thing!!! Bwhahaha.

Haha, thanks for sharing. This review is a million times better than the book. I read the first few chapters, couldn't even get to any dirty scenes because the writing was such shit to begin with. I'll take my Harlequin reads over that anyday

@gfj48 maybe try walgreens for a brand called Belly Bar? They are chewables but not gummies! Any other kind made me sick.
My confession is that I think I am afraid of getting bigger. Yes, I know it will happen. Don't really have a choice there.
I used to be 25 lbs heavier. Although that isn't a lot it made a difference in how I look. I worked out everyday to get to the size I wanted to be. Slightly afraid of developing self image issues. I think my eventful pregnancy is just making it hard to enjoy. If I didn't have so many issues maybe I wouldn't care. I saw a skinny mini last night in an outfit I definitely would have worn had I been not pregnant. Damn you skinny girl! Lol, seriously.

Edited because words are hard.
This is me. I lost 30 lbs before pregnacy by working out and eating right. (I still wasn't really skinny but a size 6-8) It took forever! I'm so worried about how long it will take to get back to it. I stil work out 5 times a week but the weight gain has been crazy!
