Looking forward to a nap with LO tomorrow.
Yeah, she does it all the time, but what am I going to do? Free daycare. I appreciate her watching him for me, I know she wouldn't do anything to hurt him but it's really not fair that she doesn't respect my wishes. She's done it before, I had given him some honeydew from my plate when we went for breakfast on mother's day. First time I gave him melon. I told her later on and she said "oh good, because I gave him some the other day.". Not cool ma, not cool. On the other hand she didn't want to give him watermelon yesterday because she was afraid of him choking on her watch?? Whaaa!!??
ETA:type too fast for my brain when mad. Spelling.

My ds is back to random vomiting. Gah! Yesterday it was projectile and today I was filming him and I caught him on camera... Yuck the noise and all... All over me. But am I gross for finding it funny and sending the video to SO? Now my little love muffin is peacefully sleeping. I just stare at his face. He slept pretty well last night, probably because it was a little cooler. No a/c is the devil I tell ya!!
So I scared myself yesterday. I bought a hpt because I like the idea of knowing every 3 months I'm not pregnant. (I have only had 1 cycle on this bc.) Well my stupid self looked at the test as it was going up the stick. A freaking blue horizontal line appeared then went away!! I damn near cried during the 2 min wait which was a negative, or at least I starred so hard to make sure I wasn't seeing things.
Btw it was supposed to be 2 vertical lines for +. So I know I'm not, but I'll definitely take another in 3 months. Oh yea it was a cheap dollar store blue dye test, only 1. Cuz I'm not paying $$$ I don't have to see a negative. I think I'll invest in the pink dye test bundles though. I'm already not liking the side effects though. Moody, dry as plain toast, no sex drive, and irritable.

littleapplemom, I don't get it... I am sure that our mothers and MIL's were driven crazy by their m's and mil's. Can't they remember that? My mom past a few years ago... but my MIL drives me CRAZY! do they think this is now their job as grandmas I don't know. My MIL is constantly asking me about rice cereal. I've told her numerous times I am not giving it to him. Yesterday she asked me "So... how much rice cereal are you giving him now" I replied that "by the time it is broken down it is basically pure glucose/sugar".(if you feed your kids rice cereal no judgement I promise, I've just decided not to). When I got back from the grocery store she was feeding him sweet potatoes. I'm putting away the groceries and she says to Levi "UH OH mommy better watch out. Your favorites are carrots and sweet potatoes... does she know how much sugar is in those". UGH! it makes me so frustrated!! but like you it's free daycare (really just once a week so I can get my shopping done). I am so grateful... but SO irritated at the same time. I really hope that when I am a grandmother that I will let the mother do what she wants and not question every decision she makes.

Skimming... turns out H is working on Sunday after all. I'm 150% thankful he has a job, but the unpredictability of his schedule is annoying. Rough nap day here, but we got outside and did things twice, so that was good.

No point to this post except that I'm sitting at Costco, eating a churro, and waiting for my pizza. No sense in cooking, right? And the Father's Day pictures turned out great!
Fftc: I've never been to a Costco. But it sounds wonderful littleapplemom! I'm so irritated with MH right now for insinuating that I don't do anything for the household. This is the same argument we have over and over. He gets off work two hours before I do and so he's all hangry and irrational by the time dinner is ready. I've begged him to eat a frickin cracker so I don't have to hear him whine and sound crazy. Because seriously. That's a ridiculous insinuation. How would you respond to that?
Hi ladies! I have been trying to read along and have started multiple posts but by the time I get a chance to finish them it's the next day :-(
Work is insane and I have been gone every day this week (normally only gone once per week and WFH the others). This has been hard on me and lo who had been taking 4-6 ounces from a bottle while I was gone (improved from zero ounces) took less and less each day this week and took only one ounce total all day. He did eat a banana, carrots and peas though.
I am only working a couple of hours tomorrow then I'm snuggling my little guy.
Next week my two week vacation starts on Thursday!! Lo and I are flying Thursday night to Washington DC to meet H who will be there all next week for a conference. We are staying 5 days to visit with SIL and BIL who live there. My only other plans are spending 4th of July up north on the lake with my Dad! I can't wait to just have some time with lo and H!
This past week I threw in the towel on getting lo to sleep in his own bed and the past 4 nights have been awesome! He doesn't fight me going down and even though he wakes to nurse its shorter and he goes right back to sleep. My H isn't a huge fan but is mostly resigned. I feel bad but I need sleep and I'm tired of stressing about him sleeping in his own bed and feeling like a failure every night.
Wow this is long! Thanks for listening ladies and I promise to do some tagging this weekend!

zengal, I have a friend who's marital rule is: first one home starts dinner. That way even if you finish it it's done quicker. He could at least cut veggies... you know the easy stuff.
zengal Wait, you are working and you cook him dinner, but you don't do anything for the household? Uhhh... that makes no sense.
I've never been to a Costco either. I don't have the space to store giant quantities of things.
I feel like my LO is so behind on food! She is just now getting the hang of actually eating purees. And like, not even the chunky ones. The really soupy ones. Lol, she still prefers the boob. FFTC: Since she usually only eats a spoonful or two of food anyway, on busy days I don't even give her any baby food. We just nurse all day.
zengal dude if your H comes home two HOURS before you. Yeah his ass should start prepping some dinner at the very least. Ridiculous for him to argue about this.
spikesmom you so deserve this vacation! I hope when you get back work slows down for you. Glad you're getting better sleep with the cosleeping! He will sleep in his bed when he is ready.

Went to rearrange the shelves in my cabinets that will now be house my china only to discover that a previous owner wood glued in the shelf brackets then broke them off and ground them into the cabinet sides. We had to go buy wood to make supports for the shelf.
Home improvement projects are always something special. I can't wait to be done and this time swear I am taking a break from projects for a while.
So I went and asked MH if he would like to try the conversation again. He said yes, but he didn't want to discuss "that" and asked me about my day instead. Yay!

Drive by post today: I had a great day at work. My boss had me join in on a meeting with marketing team. They loved my ideas and they are even working to add some in to the current mix. DH gets major brownie points today. My sister was supposed to bring her BF and son but her BF was a total jerk. So he stayed home while she came over with my nephew. DH said he would make dinner while we hung out with the kids. He made us a huge extravagant meal! He even made us apple pie! I only ate the filling lol.
spiraltheory sorry about your toe but love "mother puppy"
I'm struggling hard on this mother thing today. I feel terrible when there is such a whiney day like today I don't know what's wrong. In my head I'm screaming like a maniac. I try to stay calm because I know he's not purposely trying to drive me up a wall. That's not until he's 2 or 3 lol.
I just am counting down the hours till I have to go into work. 3 and a half hours and counting
Hugs honey, we have all been there. I hope your H spares you some time to relax. Even just a walk. Sometimes I need a quick walk to clear my head. I have been getting frustrated with Isaac because he is obsessed with yanking my hair. While the smash kisses are adorable they hurt! He digs his fingers into my face and rips my hair to bring my cheek to his mouth for a kiss. He also started biting while nursing

I've definitely been there too lately. It's so frustrating when they just won't. stop. whining. LO is also doing the hair-pulling thing. It doesn't even matter if I have all my hair pulled back, she'll reach around and yank the stray wispy hairs that don't fit into the ponytail. Or just grab a chunk of the side of my head and yank it loose. It sucks, I can't wait to be able to wear my hair down again. And long earrings! I miss those but I don't want them ripped out of my ear so I'm taking a break from them.
