So...my middle school has been having a special theme week this week...we pause all curriculum and do activities centered around a specific theme. This year it is Ancient Greece. Today we get Greek food for lunch! I have to come up w a toga between now and 11:30.

My dad is coming this weekend which means I have to clean like a madman tonight instead of going on a date. I just dont feel like seeing anyone other than my baby and husband on the weekends.
I wish they lived closer so we could just pop in for short visits instead of host for a weekend.
ETA: I just found out about the visit right now. He will be here at 10 tonight. I just assumed they would be coming tomorrow
Two things.: I really wanted to roll back over when my alarm went off at 530 rather than 6 so I could get a pump in before work. I really just wanted to go back to sleep.
Second, I feel a little bad about going into work today. LO is def teething and having a pretty bad go at it. I know DH can handle it but I could tell he was getting really frustrated yesterday by not really being able to make her feel better. I thought about taking a sick day but I want to save those for when we really need them.

What do you do?
Um no idea how I quoted both of those... I'm on the mobile site so things are weird! Question is for @addysmam22
I cannot wait for Z to be able to roll from back to belly. He's a stomach sleeper so he constantly wakes up because he rolls over to his back, and cannot flip back over yet. I'm hoping once he masters back to belly, better sleep will return.
I freaking LOVE Greek food, but the Greek restaurant around here closed. There is a Greek festival twice a year at the Greek church around here though. We go an embarrassing number of times throughout the weekends of the festivals to get our fill of Greek food.
ETA: I feel like I used the word "Greek" way too many times in that statement.
sjshark I'm a loan technician for USDA Rural Development. I sit in my office and don't see a soul on most days, and there's no one on my side of the building today lol.
I bought a brand of red wine I haven't tried before that I'm breaing open tonight. I think it will make installing hardwood flooring with DH a little easier since we don't generally work that well together on home improvement projects.
I'm just going to put this here. So we are supposed to be going to Disneyland in a month. Of course, this measles outbreak happens and now my H and I are thinking about canceling the trip. It just really sucks because Gidget was looking forward to meeting princesses and she doesn't forget things. She has been waiting six months for this trip.
So I'm trying to break the nursing to sleep pattern with my distracted nurser. How the hell do you nurse in a dark, quiet room without her falling asleep?! Suggestions accepted, commisery (that's a word, right?) preferred.

I have recently switched and now try the sleep eat play pattern during the day. I'm still having a hard time with the last feed at night. I used to wait till it was sleepy time and feed him to sleep but now I put him to sleep drowsy but awake and feed after. Not sure if that will help.

I had DH install a dimmer switch in the nursery so I could keep the lights low but still poke at DS it took a lot of talking to him to break it at first. Then we started doing story after nursing so he had to be awake. It took probably a week of that before he started staying awake on his own.
DH is flying home today!!! I'm excited to see him and even more excited to say goodbye to ILs, have my normal routine back, and have help with bedtime!

I'm so angry.
Ugh, that sucks. Damn those anti-vaxers.
If you're vaxxed, you should be fine. Plus, everything should be disinfected by then. I'd go unless any if you are immunocompromised.

That's a good idea! Unfortunately, we have this issue literally any time she eats, not just at night! I think change is harder on me than her.

Does he scream if you take him off?
No she just falls asleep! Yesterday I just figured ok she's done, and then she had only eaten for about an hour total all day. Then I felt bad at bedtime when she was crying because I was second guessing if it was hunger cries or protest cries.

Could you change your tickets and go to Disneyworld instead?
