FWIW I had an elective ultrasound at 16 weeks last time so we could tell everyone Christmas morning and it was wrong!!! We have these great videos of our parents opening frilly dresses then on January 2nd we had our anatomy scan and found a penis! We will not be peeking early this time!
So crazy!!!
My favorite "story" growing up was family friends of ours that had surprise twins. As in she delivered one and then the doc was like hang on there is another baby in there. This was in the 80s though, idk if she ever had an U/S or not.
adorebel, I'm super jealous of the lucky ladies that already know the sex of their babies. We thought about doing the blood test (Panorama/Harmony/etc) and paying out of pocket, but didn't go through with it. I was hoping we'd get a guess at our NT scan, but the tech wouldn't even look. I know some people are against vanity u/s, but we might do a 3D/sex determination u/s at 15 weeks to find out.
I wouldn't consider it lucky, usually people have that blood test because they have other risks. That wait is no fun at all.

Hello! Just wanted to provide a quick intro before jumping into the board. I'm Katie, and I live in Virginia (just outside of DC) with my DH, DS (almost 2), and our kitty. Our 2nd is due 3/15. We were team green with our DS and will be again this time. DS was breech and had low fluid, so we had a planned c-section at 37w3d. This time I am hoping for a VBAC. I'm pretty much an open book, so any questions, just ask!

I also live in NoVA
I used to live in NoVA 3 years ago. Loved it, want to go back.

We moved down this way 6 years ago and I dont see us leaving any time soon (which I would hope is the case anyway given that we just bought a house earlier this year!)
Hi guys! So I'm jumping in over here a little late because I got called out for lurking on GKU, but am not currently trying to get pregnant since I already am!
A little about me- this is baby #2 for us, due 3/23/16. We're finding out the sex in ~2 weeks at the anatomy scan- so excited! DH and I have been married for 2.5 years (together for 7.5), have one DS who's 16 mos old, and we live in the southwest where it's still hot as balls and that makes me really sad since I want fall weather.

I haven't been around in a while but Hi!
My wife is sheilathetank in here and we are super excited!!! I got a new job so I haven't been around to be on the boards much. I get to wear a hard hat at my new job every now and then so for that I say....

Hi and welcome! Where are you? I'm in San Diego and it's been crazy hot here. Over 100 everyday. miserable.

I'm in Phoenix, equally hot and miserable. Although our highs dropped down to the 90s so that was exciting, haha. Having the beach so close must be nice though!
I didn't realize I never made an introduction here. I've been lurking for a bit.
This is baby #2, EDD 3/3/2016. Anatomy scan was last week and everything looks great, and we're having a boy. My first is a 2 year old boy who is a wonderfully crazy rough and tumble toddler. DH and I just celebrated our 9th anniversary last week as well. We live in Maryland fairly close to DC/Baltimore area.
A few other things about me - I'm a graphic and web designer, I sometimes play video games, and I love to run but have had to stop this pregnancy because its become too uncomfortable. So I'm sticking to other variants of working out for now. Any questions, ask away!
I'm jumping in. My name is Mary and we're expecting our son 3/13/16. He'll be our first, and I'm pg after 5yrs of IF.
I live in NoVA (some of the local ladies directed me here) and am an attorney. My husband and I have been married for 6 years and have a dog named Huck who is 18 months old. In my spare time I'm an amateur pastry chef and a quilter when I have the energy.

I can't remember of I put a post In here. I am JukEboX my wife is in this board. She tells me all the good and bad news and when I have some free time I come on here and try and be social. Forums are tough for me because I don't get the instant satisfactory feeling of getting answers but I contribute when I can. Also for everyone who has posted horror stories about their husband here, I am appalled and ashamed as a husband and soon to be father at some of them. I am a kid a hear but I can adult when i need to. Grow up guys you are/will be dads soon. I support you ladies as much as I can and some of these stories are just RIDICULOUS and makes me angry and how bad it makes me feel for you and myself.
In other news our babies room is painted! She will have a pond in her room too! So excited! ?
Hi all, super late to the game, I may have intro'd here a long time ago but I'm not sure. I've been a part of my last BMB (Feb 14) for so long that it was hard to transition to a new one. I've been lurking more and more so I thought it was time to intro before I started posting.
I'm 31 from Northern California. DS just turned 4 and DD will be 2 in February. Baby is due 3/29. We're team green for the first time. I'm a teacher, working from home, teaching online for the first time this year.

Good morning, parents and parents-to-be in March 2016.
It's so close to March due dates and this board seems to be pretty well established, but I've been looking for a community to join for a while and I hope you're generally okay if I try to tag along here.
I'll be a first-time-mom and I'm due at the tail end of March (March 30 due date). Our little one is going to be a first on both sides of the family and I'm also the first of our friends to be pregnant. In the past 6 months we've moved to a new state, then overseas, and then moved back so I'm just now trying to establish myself in our new community and prepare for motherhood, but its been going slow. It would be so nice to connect with other soon-to-be moms (and dads, if there are any here).
Wishing you all happy, healthy, and smooth pregnancies.
