I'm failing so badly at inserting pics using the tap app. I can't seem to get it to work. It looks easy enough but I keep getting prompted to verify my email address. I never get an email to verify my email address, though.

Also I just tried to trim LO's hair for the first time. We had taken him to a walkin kid salon a couple times but they butchered his 'do last time and now I am gunshy. He had a mullet so I just tried to cleanup his neckline. It was harder than I thought it would be. DH is very skeptical but wisely left it at, "Let's see how it dries." Sigh.
So- here's one of my random thoughts.... For about two days now, I could NOT remember all three gestures in the chicken dance. I remembered the butt wiggle and the wing flapping. I finally had to break down and ask H. I swear- just when I convince him in smart- something like this happens.
My in laws aren't bad people. Today on our skype call I thought my eyes were going to get stuck in the back of my head they were rolling so hard. They constantly freak out that DD is going to get hurt. They thought she was going to fall off everything it gets ridiculous. We are honestly pretty good at keeping her safe. I also told them my dates for training they asked DH if her was going to get a sitter? Her dad can't take care of her for 5 days? Really?
That honestly sounds like my mom. She's over the top. Madeline slipped and fell the other night when we were over at her house. It definitely wasn't good, she fell on her face and cut her lip which resulted in a fair bit of blood. But she was over it quickly, nothing that warranted a trip to the ER. For 3 days my mom went on about how we are going to have to look into new ways to keep her safer because obviously she is just too confident. Yes, she is confident. But kids fall. It happens. I'm sure we did as kids, she is just not remembering it correctly. She swears she never saw my blood until I was 5. When I told my dad that he laughed.
She's also the same with Tyson looking after M. Every time she finds out he's alone with her she offers to come out and help. He isn't the least bit offended (and probably loves it), but I finally lost it on her. How on earth is he ever going to learn how to care for his own child if his MIL swoops in and saves him from it every time? He can manage. He won't kill her. She will be fed. The worst thing that will happen is her diaper will be on backwards when I get home or they won't have had time to do any of the dishes because he doesn't know how to manage his time with her. Nothing major. Just leave him alone.

So thanks to LO's 4am wake-up this morning, I was snoozing on the couch around 5. DH took LO back to his room to play quietly (huzzah!), and I woke up a little while later to discover that DH was back and LO was nowhere to be seen.
Apparently asleep.
Okay ... and I spoke too soon. He just woke up screaming. I asked him what was wrong, and he pointed to a stray ball sitting by his bed. After cleaning up his room (within eyesight of his bed anyway), he went right back to sleep after some milk!
Weird night. Still not in PJs or a nighttime diaper, but I'll deal with that at the next MOTN waking. FX for a good night and a *not* 4am wake-up tomorrow.
classictwitch - absofukinluteky! I am at friends house watching the game right now so I might watch it a little later though. I will definitely have tea too
Also, asmallwonder is our car seat for littles expert right? I am questioning wheather we are supposed to replace our seat after the fender bender yesterday. It didnt feel like even the same amount of force as a hard highway stop. What's the official line on very minor accidents?
I'm not asw, but the answer is that you need to read your car seat manual. Most car seats are after ANY accident. It doesn't matter how minor, if your LO was in the car seat, or not.
Exactly what mcbush said. Every manufacturer has different recommendations
