These are some of mine. I've also got a constellation on the top of my right foot and a nautical star on each of my hips and I have 2 swallows on my rib cage on my right side. I also have plans for a half sleeve made up of local native plants and grasses.

I have a fairy tramp stamp, a butterfly on my ankle & a star on each hip. None of them have meaning & I got them all before turning 21. I'd like to get another after we're done having kids that symbolizes my children + my losses. I have no clue what I'd like to do though.

2 chinese symbols that should say "Good Spirit". Long story, my Dad (who had a drug problem) took me to get a tattoo at the age of 14. I got a chinese symbol since the Spice Girls were oh so cool and they had one. I just picked a symbol off the wall and it meant "good". I was so young, I didn't realize how stupid that was.
Soo... at the age of 18 I added "spirit" to it. Still stupid, but at least it made more sense.
At 28 I got a memorial tattoo for my Dad who passed away from his addiction. He had a Harley tattoo on his arm with my Mom's name on it, so I later got that same tattoo with "Dad" in it. It is very special to me. I often get asked if I'm American since it has a US flag in it. I'm not.
And last, I'm that rebel who has my husbands name tattoo'd on my ass. You can roll your eyes and judge now. It was something sexy that I wanted and totally do not regret it.

I don't have any pics.
#1 - Dolphin jumping out of water with sun setting behind it on my right hip. #2 - Dolphin swimming around a crescent moon with a few stars around it on my left shoulder blad. #3 - My zodiac (Taurus) rising out of water inside a Celtic circle on my left foot. #4 - Green and blue hummingbird with a long tail on my right ankle and the tail wraps around the front of my leg. #5 - Tribal on my lower back. Or known by some, "tramp stamp." #6 - DS's footprints from birth with his name written in his handwriting when he was 5 underneath the footprints on the middle of my back. #7 - Tribute to a very dear friend who was in a very bad motorcycle accident on my left ankle.
By no means am I done getting tattoos. I will eventually get DD's like I did DS's. I also want to get a Maleficent tattoo, Evil Queen, a half sleeve of Nightmare Before Christmas, and a few others that are hard to describe.
This one I got when I turned 18...the age I was in the picture. I'm 25 now, and while I still like the tat, I won't show it off because I have stretch marks marring my belly where I have put on about 50lbs. Its hard to see it here, but it's the only photo I have. Its a shooting star with the star made from connected "inspirational" words. Yeah, I was just *so* creative. The random bandaid graphic is my interesting and lazy way of editing out the location of the hooters on my shirt. It would hit a little too close to home, if you catch my drift.
This one I got when I was 21 and about to be married. My mom passed away shortly after I got engaged and hummingbirds were her favorite. I got it to signify both a change in my life due to her death and moving forward in marriage. I have other, less swollen and new pics but I couldn't find them.
DH wants one really bad. He has scoliosis, so he wants to get a rattle snake that curves with his spine. I like the idea but he wants the snake to come over his shoulder with fangs and stuff on his shoulder by his neck. I don't like that idea to much.
I want to get our brand, but we haven't got it figured out quite yet. I have no idea what else, but maybe some hames or a collar, since I know how to drive horses, and did it for a living for a while.
I don't have one but MH's is pretty amusing. He is a pretty big guy now but when he was a scrawny 16 year old he let a friend give him a tattoo. As a result of partaking a little too much while playing Super Mario Bros., he now has a tiny mushroom permanently on his upper right arm. He won't humor me with taking a picture. So just picture a video game mushroom in black and white.
Creepy tattoo twins! Mine is on the inside of my right foot.
Do you both really collect books?
My husband thinks I'm weird because my boss was going to throw away all of these dental books from the 70s and I took them instead and added them to the shelf with the rest of my books. I much prefer real books but sadly, these days I have more digital ones.
I'm partial to hard copies too. I still can't get into e-books. I have a library card but there is nothing better in the world than a used book store.

It's the state of Florida on my side/bleeding onto my boob. There's a controversial story about why I got it but I'll give it to you anyway. My Dad has tattoos. When he became a member of a church he got this idea in his head that God would not forgive him for his tattoos. It never stopped him from trying to be a better man, but it did weigh on his heart. I hated this. I thought it was the stupidest thing I had ever heard. God is forgiving and surely he can forgive Dad's tattoos. But at the same time, I thought no one can know for sure what God will and will not accept. It weighed on my heart a lot. Then I met Mr.Dabears and he had tattoos. We fell in love and got married and that's when I decided. There is no version of eternity that I care to spend without my Dad and Mr.Dabears. So if the time comes and God says you can't come to heaven with tattoos then I want to be wherever they go.
I got it in white and in a virtually invisible area because it is not meant to be showy. I didn't get it for anyone else to see. It's Florida because that's where Dad and I are happiest and where Mr.Dabears and I got married. Mr.DaBears and God are the only two who know I have it.
FWIW I have absolutely nothing against tattoos. I love them. I also don't believe that people with tattoos are damned. This is just my "insurance policy" so to speak.

I don't have a tattoo, but would love to get one! I think the wrist is a very sexy place for a tattoo, although I can't tell why. I would like the words faith, hope and love there!
