Our little town of 15k people has had not one but two young people lose their lives in a car accident today. We have a 4 lane highway with speed limit of 55 running out of town to I-5 and people treat it like a freaking race track. It's devastating for the families, one of which had young (2-3 year old) twin girls. I am so scared to drive around here lately. I am especially scared that my oldest will be driving in almost exactly one year.

@adulruna, Congratulations!
designaddiction - the other ladies have covered any advice I could give. Just wanted to add in not to beat yourself up over it. Totally normal for supply to dip at 9 months!
so what the hell was the deal this morning?? did they tell you someone else got the job to just get you pissed and then surprise you later, lol
Ok, let me explain. They're supposed to have 1 team lead for every 10 associates. They had 2 and they needed a third one. Right after I interviewed, one lead quit. So, they offered the job to the other lady yesterday because she already worked in the department. Because I was under another manager, and she took for-friggin-ever to get back to them, they needed her approval before offering me the position. I used to work in that department but they didn't want a Team Lead yet because they were still restructuring and they didn't end up getting one until last year when I was on leave anyway.
My supervisor's super excited lol.
ah gotcha that makes sense then...Thank god your frigin supervisor stepped it up finally!
