I'll be spending some portion of today's vacation day at the ped. Lots of ear tugging and a spreading rash. I just don't like the way this supposed eczema is spreading. Going to go with my gut and hope the dr doesn't think I'm nuts.
If the dr thinks you're nuts for bringing a baby with a spreading rash, then the dr is the nuts one! pixie523. And hopefully it's still a fancy day. I'm just so excited about the short week! That's my only thought right now!
pixie523 always go with your gut. Hopefully you get some answers and feel better about the rash after the appointment.
DH went to the range with some of his friends this morning. My vent is that it always seems that his gatherings always happen all at once. He doesn't get together with people very much so I try not to let it bother me but this week he's gone this morning, Thursday, and Sunday for fun things. Friday he's helping his cousin move. So our holiday weekend only consists of Saturday in which we host a family cookout for both sides. I keep reminding myself that he won't be this active for the rest of the month.
I think it's cute when LO says "dadada" or tries to stick her toes in her mouth. I love it when she smiles and shows her excitement about eating pureed solids. Doing all three at the same time when her mouth is full leads to a messy clean up.
zengal, Short week...jealous!!! I'm in of Friday. Stupid finance job. Blech. Big Brother thread in real-time?? Aint nobody got time for that!! Lol I'm usually looking at the back of my eyelids when shows are actually on. These days all I can do is DVR everything and take three or four stabs at watching the episode. TV puts me straight to sleep. I've been recording weird stuff like Gypsy Sisters and Botched. No attention span = trash tv.
MsNicole06,Man I wish DH would go out and get out of my hair sometimes!! He needs some dude time.
jax1182014, I'm sure they came out beautifully. Still waiting for LO's baptism pics back. So excited to see them, hoping we got some good family shots in too. Probably going to schedule a christmas shoot soon. Can you believe it?! My photographer is already booking for the holidays?!

gldnbearz, I think my guy is getting the "B" sound down, he's saying 'bababababa' when we're eating and he wants what's on our plates, or if he can't actually reach his bottle on the tray. I'm pretty positive he doesn't know baba is bottle yet. We got rasperries while he was eating for a while, that was always a fun cleanup. His high sign now for "no more" is to swat the spoon, usually followed by putting his hands directly in his hair. Fun times, good thing he likes the bath!!
pixie523 I have gone multiple times over eczema. Spreading rashes plus ear tugging is totally a reason to go! Good luck today!
MsNicole06 boo for so much time away in a row but yeah I do the same thing. Kinda get bummed but know it's not always like that. I'm sure he doesn't want to go and help someone move too lol. Just helping out. Hope the cookout is fun!
littleapplemom and gldnbearz I love the fun eating though it's messy! Last night Liam, put his fingers in his mouth and flung like a slingshot what was in his mouth back out lol
We are on our way to the beach! It's FINALLY a nice day! Took us an hour to pack everything lol. We hope to be here a couple hours. Got a half tent, blankets, tons of water, bottles, formula
Hello! Busy, busy today. I hope everyone is feeling better! My little guy is working on more teeth. He has moments where I can only comfort him by walking him around and lightly swaying him. Ugh. Poor guy had his front top two teeth pop through and now he has two more coming in on the top.
Anyone else still have toothless babes? Liam certainly acts like he is in extreme pain in his mouth with drool, red cheeks, chewing everything, etc. A day or two, then no teeth! Then is fine for like 2 weeks or so then more "teething" but not teeth

pixie523 - you are most certainly NOT nuts. I'd take my baby in for a spreading rash as well!! Hopefully you can get back to enjoying your vacation stat.
Last night was less than fun. LO was delirious when he fell asleep at 8 pm ... he'd been fighting naps throughout the day so he was more than ready to get some sleep. Now he's got a runny nose and sneezing so I'm keeping him home with me today. Should be an interesting one. Happy Tuesday!

And I posted too soon. Speaking of doctors, I think we've discussed this, but how much of a concern is ear pulling (without spreading rash!)? Myles has always played with his ear, but he seems to be doing it more these days. He hasn't had a fever, but he's been whining a lot more and, as you all know because I've complained, his sleep is definitely disturbed/disrupted/generally fuckered. Is this something I should see the pedi about? PSA - I know I've said this, but the Fisher Price outdoor swing is saving my life. It's soothing for my whiny guy and he watches the birds and sometimes falls asleep.

Well shit, I asked the internet about ear pulling and I'm more confused than ever. It's normal. Unless it's not normal, in which case you should see the doctor. Helpful?
spiraltheory my baby pulls her ears every day when she's tired. If there's a noticeable change in his temperament AND there's an increase in ear pulling, I might be concerned? The teething has caused some sleepless nights and fussiness for us, but no change in the ear pulling...who the heck knows, right? Trust yourself!!

Hi! Drive by today. How I can stay so busy while being a sahm is beyond me. Laundry and dishes today. Oh, and reading and I maybe snuck a tiny bit of a nap while M was napping...
I have a dentist appointment this afternoon and I'm *this* much scared that they are going to find something. I have perfect teeth, but it would be just like life to bite me on that one, right? Oh, and I'm leaving M with a friend while I go... is it wrong to be excited about alone time even if that means someone scraping your teeth?

zengal, I've never really minded the dentist because I've never had a cavity, never needed braces, and I brush and floss daily. So they're like "oh, well, you have really clean teeth... um, maybe come back in a year instead of 6 months."
