I'm so sorry for everything you have been through with this. What a nightmare. I have been thinking of you and will continue to do so. Sending you huge hugs.
And like tkford216 said, I wish I could bitch slap everyone in your doctor's office.
My last update. We were there for 9 hours today. They couldn't find anything through ultrasound, so we never confirmed that it was ectopic, but never ruled it out either. My levels did increase (very slightly) so I did end up getting the shot. We were actually cleared to begin trying again as soon as I get my first period. I go back next Sunday to determine if I need a second dose due to my elevated levels.

league2b3 I would follow up with your OB about trying again so soon. Mine had pretty clear instructions not to as the MTX can prevent absorbtion of folic acids and lead to an elevated risk of neural tube defects if you conceive right away. I would talk to the OB, mine gave me 2 months based on the amount of shot I got and my levels were lower than yours. Not trying to damper this but I dont want you to make an uninformed decision because an ER doctor didnt know about the lingering effects.

No worries, kellybenelly83, I will be having a consultation with my new doctor once all of this is said and done and before we try anything. I'll likely be benching myself until the new year. It was an OB resident who administered the medication and gave me the information.
Oh league2b3 I'm so so sorry. I've been hoping and praying for a good outcome for you, and I'm just heartbroken for you right now. Please take care of yourself, and know that you always have my support if you need to talk.
I also agree with kellybenelly83 that trying right away after the shot seems a little odd and I'm super glad you're switching to a new doctor!
I'm so sorry you're going through this. How heartbreaking. I just wanted to let you know that I had the mtx shot back in early May 2013 and was cleared to do an FET late June 2013. I got clearance from two highly respected REs so I felt comfortable. I of course made sure to take plenty of folic acid once I was through the mtx. Everything is fine with my DD. but whatever you decide, good luck and hugs.
