XP from Bfeeding. TMI Gross question.

I was diagnosed with strep throat yesterday, told that it is safe to bfeed on the antbx.

My older child has had a stomach bug for three days and I got that. Coming out every way it can. So, strep, diarrhea and vomiting. Keep bfeeding or use stashed milk?

If I had enough of a supply, I would use stash and pump. It sounds like you probably feel like shit, do you even feel like nursing?

Keep feeding. Dehydration will yabk your supply so any feeding now can help keep it up.

I was always told to keep on BFing. You're still passing antibodies to the baby, so it should help with immunity.

Drink lots and lots of fluids to keep supply up, which I know is hard to think about when you can't keep much down. Feel better, Mama.

Unless you're not feeling up to it, I would keep breastfeeding. You help build up baby's immunity, plus it's easier to cram your nipple in baby's face than setting up and using that goddamn pump.

I would keep BFing, that is what the pedi told me to do when I had a cold/stomach bug last year. I basically stayed in bed and had DH bring me DS whenever he needed to eat. Hope you feel better soon.

Sorry, that sucks. But I would keep going as much as possible. Agree with pps on the hydration suggestion.

Keep BFing, but keep in mind you may have to supplement using your stash if you get too dehydrated, so try your best to get liquids in when you can. I know it sucks, been there. Feel better!

As long as its a BF friendly antibiotic, keep nursing. And drink tons of water. i had food poisoning once when S was like 4 months old, it was so hard to keep going, but my supply bounced back.

Nurse as much as you can, there's to s of anti bxs in there to help keep lo from catching the bugs= less sickness. But if you need to pump it's fine just give it soon and fluids as much as you can handle

I got strep when I was bf DS, but I didn't have the other stuff. I say keep bf ing if you are able because as PP said, you make antibodies to fight off what you have and by bf ing you'll pass them on to your baby too.
