Fun! I've briefly considered CD for environmental reasons, but I worry about finding a daycare that will agree to deal with cloth (I know some will argue that it goes against health codes). I'll have to look into it more and see if it would be worth doing even part time.

When I was an infant teacher we allowed cloth diapers. We just weren't allowed to clean them out. We would just roll them up and stick them in a wet bag for the parents. I think this is what most centers do.
musicalsilver, I'm not sure what the brands are because I bought them used, but they're all newborn AIO's. I got 20 in this lot, plus a few prefolds I already had. I think I'll buy maybe 10 more NBs and then start stocking up on the regular one sized.

Just fyi, I had 30 nb changes and that only lasted me every 1.5 days at DS's peak pooping time. You might want to snag a few more if you want to comfortably do every other day diaper laundry.

With my first I just did CDs for my mat leave. My baby was 9lbs so I used all the disposable NB I was given and then switched to size small g-diapers. I do not recommend them. But I'm going to reuse them with this LO and then probably sell them. I switched to disposable right before I sent her to DC.
Tonight DH and I test drove a minivan....it was the most amazing vehicle I've ever driven ! Why have I been avoiding the minivan for all these years? Anyone have a Honda Odyssey and want to share your thoughts?
mrsred09 one of my best friends has a Honda Odyssey and LOVES it. I don't have a lot of specifics, haha. I just know he's been trying to convince me for a while. When we are on the market it will be a top contender.
I need advice. We've been announcing to parts of the family as we see them. We told my mom's side last weekend because we were all together for the 4th. We are telling H's mom's side this weekend because everyone is together for H's grandpa's birthday. My dad is getting restless and wants his side to know too, but the only time we will be seeing them is the weekend of my brother's wedding (25th). I feel like that's in poor taste to tell them then. Any suggestions on how we can spill without encroaching on my brother's big weekend?
We won't be seeing H's dad's side at all this summer, so we are going to have to send them a cute card or something. Should we just send it to both parts and not worry about telling in person?

I would just make personal phone calls to the most important people (grandparents, people you are really close to) and let them spread the word to everyone else.

My extended family is out of state. With my first, I just told them via a mass private message on Facebook. I'd agree it's probably a bad idea to tell them at someone else's wedding.

I need a new, bigger car. My husband wants me to consider a minivan. I was leaning toward a large suv. But I may have to check it out.
I had the same thoughts....went to test drive a Honda Pilot and hated how big it felt. DH suggested and pushed to try one of the vans since we hadn't ever had one. I loved it. We are going to drive a few more tonight after work.

Can you organize a morning after the wedding brunch? (Unless of course the bride/groom have already done that). We left immediately for our honeymoon Sunday morning, and the rest of my family all had brunch together.

This was my thought as well - announce after the wedding while everyone is still together.

I have a Subaru Forester and love the shit out of it. I know it is not a large SUV, but it is roomy and nimble.

We r also in the market for a bigger car (bug surprise haha) and really want a forester, but im afraid we will think it's too small. We have to trade in my husbands subaru wrx to make it affordable with a new car, and i used to have a 2005 forester a few years ago until i had an accident in it. I would consider other slightly bigger suvs, esp with awd for our weather here. We r test driving this weekend. Im nervous and excited.

I don't have a mini van. I have a Chevy cobalt which is a small car and it's a tight fit with a convertible and infant (for the baby I watch). And trunk space is very limited. I've been telling dh for the last year I want a mini van. Sliding doors? Yes please! But both my car and his Taurus are paid off so for now we keep them. But I'm jealous.

The newer subarus are bigger. Mine is a 2014 and it is just as roomy as my mom and dad's Toyota highlander, only it doesn't have a third row of seating... that being said the third row in the Highlander is very crunchy and not comfortable.

I drive a Ford Escape 2014 and LOVE it. I know with the baby seat and accesories plus 2 dogs (big ones) it will be a tight squeeze, but we love it so much.

Ford Escapes for the WIN.
I'm stroller researching with dogs in mind, I want to put them in the "trunk" with baby in the middle seat (little worried about the drool) so I want a stroller that is compact and can easily be stored in the back seat. For the few times we'll have to have everyone in the car that is...
