I am so sick of being caught up in the middle of everyone else's drama that has nothing to do with me. MIL and SIL are feuding again and they are both confiding in me and asking me not to say anything to the other one. Meanwhile my kid has been extra clingy and crying and fighting naps all day. Ugh. I need a break.
Ok, the mischievous imp in me wants you to make shit up to tell them just to see what happens. Maybe then they will learn it's not worth putting you in the middle. No? Bad idea?

Haha I should probably play nice but this is tempting...
Anyone have any suggestions for rumors I could start? They are arguing over how long it takes to design and order a wedding album. So stupid.
DD has been in her helmet for a week now and she's doing great! She finally took her first nap in it with no problems. Good thing I spent all that time worrying over nothing. (Note the sarcasm in my typing)
I have Wednesday's off but I finally have a break during nap time and can catch up on the board

Silly me thought I had weeks until DD figured out climbing of steps...nope today she tried it once and is a pro. Baby gate #2 going up.
Also she knows the word "dance" and upon hearing shakes her hips. I was ready "on the night you were born"... She heard dance and thought it was her cue! God this age is both exhausting but rewarding too!
Went to meet our friends' baby last night. They live in Colorado and came home to visit. They also have a 3 year old DD who is super cute but SUPER skinny- like unhealthy skinny. Mom said she only eats crackers. Then the mom turned to me and my DD and said, "don't worry S. You won't have to deal with that. It's quite evident that your DD has no trouble eating. She's SO chunky." What??? She is perfectly average and perfectly healthy and baby fat rolls are adorable!.
Youch! What a nasty backhanded compliment! I feel for people that have a hard time getting their kids to eat, but I'm also like "really, she will only eat crackers?" Or you're just too exhausted to try to get her to eat anything else? Because that's legit too. Just admit you haven't tried since you figured out she would eat crackers. Leave her at my house for a weekend and she'll either starve or decide maybe she likes other foods. I can be very patient. My kid eats all the foods, thank God, because as a foodie I wold be devastated if he was picky.
I feel the same way about the crackers. We went to visit when I was 6 months pregnant and their DD had pizza for all 3 meals for two entire days. DH and I left swearing we would do whatever it takes to get our kid(s) to eat better than that!

Today was pizza day at daycare and apparently our baby really loves pizza. He ate a good amount and when it ran out he freaked out. They gave him more and he was happy lol.
I can't even begin to explain how wonderful it feels to have a kid who at 9 months chews and swallows solid foods. Our toddler had such issues and wouldn't even swallow Cheerios until almost a year. He pretty much eats or tries to eat anything we give him.

I absolutely don't take for granted that we take DS anywhere and feed him more or less what we eat. He had black beans at the taco place we went to tonight and gobbled them up! DH was an insanely picky eater as a kid, so I've been a little worried, but DS does great!
Just stopping in to say hi and throw some love tits around! Were in disney world for the week and so far having a blast. I'll be pretty MIA the rest of this week though.

DUDE! Same here.
I realize now that I didn't let DS have anything when he was a baby and I fed him purees for a long time. I think it's my fault that he's so picky and it's because I didn't give him a variety of solids at a younger age.
DD literally eats everything we eat. Salad, spicy stuff, pasta, you name it, she eats it. It's so easy!

Since DD is my first I have nothing to compare other eating styles to..but love how easy it is to give DD whatever is on my plate. Plus bc I try to keep it healthy for her it forces me to be healthy. Now when I bring my plate to the table she looks over like "what are we having and I want whatever you are having now!"

Yes! I go back and forth wondering if we did something wrong or if he just had issues. I mean the kid would not swallow anything with a texture so I think he did have issues. We seriously give our baby everything and I don't care if he eats some stuff that isn't so great like pizza because I want him exposed to everything I giggle with joy as he pounds peas...our toddler has never eaten a real vegetable sigh.
