famousea &darwinfish I hadn't thought about my old TB stuff. I think i may have to take a leaf out of your books and have it deleted.
puppyspit that's awful. I'm so sorry. At least they had the decency to apologise.
Wooooo I made it to the end. SO apologies for being an ass hat over the last 2 days. He took me to my favourite local gallery before our belated anniversary dinner. It was really nice.
Has a delicious strawberry mojito at dinner. Turns out there IS such thing as too many coconut shrimp.
Liiiiike you are just too full or your cup runeth over?
Like. I couldn't finish them all because it was just too much coconut. I even tried dipping them in butter instead of the pineapple sauce. Couldn't do it.
Oh and your peanut butter post reminded me. The restaurant had THE BEST peanut butter & chocolate Cheesecake. I haven't had anything peanut based in about 7 months because of DSs allergy. Oh how I have missed it. It was heaven on a plate.

Oh ok, yeah there definitely can be too much coconut. I like mine with bread crumbs and coconut to balance it out.

My rainbow arrived 10/15/14.
5 cycles of "TTC" - 3 intentional, 2 not so intentional. 5 BFPs.

My dog has been losing a ton of hair for the past couple weeks. Today I can see his skin through his white fur. He's been whining all day long.
He's been through lots of changes with dd being born, me being at home for maternity leave, then dh home for 2 weeks for holidays, then we both went back to work full time during the day and he has to be kenneled while we're gone.
We've been taking him on walks and playing with him while we're home. He's eating and drinking like usual but just not acting like himself.
Could he just be stressed? Does he need to seem his vet right away? The hair loss and constant whining have me worried.
Yes I am. Is the skin underneath red or irritated at all or is he just losing hair? How old is he and where is the hair loss located at? Is is symmetric or just kind of all over the place?

Lots of dandruff and no redness I can find. He's losing hair all over. He's probably close to 2 years old (we adopted him so we aren't entirely sure but they thought he was 1 when we got him).

With him being that young it could be stress related but there are a lot of reason dogs can lose hair. Some metabolic issues such as an under active thyroid, allergies, fungal infection, bacterial infections, genetic disorders. The list goes on and on. If it's getting worse and is pretty prominent I would bring him in to have him looked at.
So for those of you who were holding your breath on the 2-3-4 nap routine...gigantic shit show. Never again. DD made it 3.5 hours, passed out, woke up 20 minutes later oddly calm, and then proceeded to FREAK OUT.
She was so hungry but refused the Breast. I tired everything; skin-to-skin, a warm bath, finally she ended up taking a 2 oz bottle and then wanted to comfort nurse (side-lying) after that.
She's passed out in our bed right now and I'm terrified to move her. But I also want to eat. But I feel like I can't leave her cause it's not safe. Gah.
No! So sorry!
It's OK. She slept for like 15 minutes, woke, ate like usual (longer than usual actually) and went to sleep. She woke up a few minutes in and get this...SOOTHED HERSELF BACK TO SLEEP. Unicorn, donkey, regular horse, whatever, I'm still pretty proud of her.
Does anyone have one of those sleep sheep sound soothers. Some creepy guy at BRU told me to get it so I went with it and now DS has been going to sleep at night so easy the past few nights. And staying asleep. It could also be that he's worn out from his vaccines but I like to think that something I do has some effect.

We have one, but I can't really get it to work for DD. So it's going to daycare. Maybe they can find a use for it for her.
We did get a Slumber Buddy with the star projections today. We tried it out and DD is totally entranced. So maybe that will help us tonight.

DS falls asleep to it every night. There have been times where he's woken up minutes after it stops, so we bought one that goes for a bit longer.
We also have one that plays sunds and projects things on the ceiling, but the images tend to keep him up.

I was really skeptical of it at first since he has a sound option on his PnP that he never cared for but he's going on hour 2 of sound sleep.

Ours is a giraffe but that combined with the swaddle changed our lives!
