DS drinks 3.5-4oz per bottle when I'm gone. Our routine used to be eat around 7,10,1,4,7 then 1-2 times per night but now he is going longer in the morning so it's been closer to 6:30,10:30,2,5,7 then once at night. He goes to bed about 7 then usually wakes once about 1-130 (trying to let him fuss it out here so we put his soother back in and turn on his music). Then up at 3:30(same time every night) then down until 6:30. For 15lb baby he doesn't drink as much as others, but my DD never drank more then a 4.5 oz bottle even at 1yr (though she was only 16bs at a year lol). No point in trying to feed more then he wants, just like with DD he will not eat if he doesn't want to!
2.5 oz...DS hates bottles and frequently eats only 8 oz even when I'm gone for 12 hours.
shevacc have you tried different bottles? We started with parents choice ones first (got them as a shower gift) she did ok, but would act like she didn't know what to do with them. Same for the Medela nipples. Switched To avent (what I used for my first two) and not an issue since. She has no problems with those, and very much dislikes any other size/shape. Worth a shot?

That's an interesting idea. I'm too cheap to buy new bottles but I could get different nipples. DH also commented that DS is particular about the temperature so does better with more smaller bottles.
At this point he nurses a lot at night but I'm doing ok sleepwise so that works for us. It actually relieves some of the stress of pumping since I pump more than he takes each day without much effort. I hope that's not terrible! As long as his pedi is ok with it and he's gaining weight next month at his appointment.
LO is happy with 4oz but if his caretaker fixes a 5 oz bottle he will finish it. I prefer 4 oz ones though. I don't want him overeating. He does wake up 1-2 times/ night right now. He used to sleep through the night but colds/ teething/ growth spurts/ 4 mo regression/ etc seem to all be working against us getting back to that point! DS is a chunk- 19lbs right now.

3 oz. bottles and usually takes 3 a day. Sometimes 4 bottles if she's at daycare longer. I'm upset because she's been sick and congested and only took 2 some days last week. She ended up losing a little weight too, ugh.
