Stupid question: is homeowner's insurance and/or property tax (either or both) usually part of your monthly mortgage payment to an escrow account? We are coming up on one year of closing on our house and we were thinking we'd have some big payments to make in the next month (not great timing for that, clearly!). I mentioned this to my sister and she said theirs is done that way, at least the insurance for sure, so they don't send off a check to the insurance company for it or anything. Of course I'll get DH to check our account and I can call the lender tomorrow if necessary, but just wondering if anyone here knows what the norm is!
So when the doctor checked me this morning he said that baby's head was at -4. What does that mean?
It's the position of baby in pelvis. -5 is floating +5 is crowing. 0 is engaged. If you google baby position/station in pelvis you'll get some diagrams.
Fx for all the ladies having contractions, BP issues, etc.
I hung up all the newborn - 3 month clothes today & did some nursery organization. Now I just need to put the crib together, wash blankets & towels, and put the organizer together. Still can't believe I'm going to be a mother sometime in the next month...
SO's dad (Dallas PD) just informed us that there was a robbery & triple shooting involving an AK-47 at the IHOP on our street around 4 am last night, so that's lovely!

I think it really just depends entirely on how your mortgage is set up. Ours are separate payments, but it is fairly common to all be one.

My daughter kept saying she need the scraps from my sewing project. "I need this for my project Mommy, will you sew this for me?" I let her use the scraps to make a little pillow and she is pretty proud of it.
lemon200, hoping it'll happen au natural for you! Go do all the things. Tell your hubby you don't actually need to have sex you just need his semen, lol.
H ordered our crib. He didn't use the registry on the order and a blush pink crib arrived today instead of the gray crib I wanted. I'm disappointed, but I don't think it is worth 1. Fighting over and 2. Paying for the shipping to return it.

Wow that is a bummer. Maybe he can paint it gray?
That's what he offered to do, but I think it will probably be ok. It is a very light pink, so just more of a bummer than anything else. Maybe this is a stupid question, but is there a baby safe paint for furniture?

Not going to lie everyone over here with contractions havin babies while my body is like "maybe today! Nope, just kidding." Is making me want to cry a little.

Also, I don't know if it's just today but omg I don't want to wear clothes. My body is still going between "it's so hot" and "all the blankets. Right. Now." I don't know what's going on but I don't think grandma would appreciate me walking around naked. Clothes seem too restricting right now.
Thinking of everyone tonight. I am hoping everything is okay for you ladies.
I freaked MH out today when we FaceTimed. I mentioned had some Braxton hicks contractions yesterday. We hung up shortly after because he had to go. He texted 5 mins later," are you sure you are okay? I am calling you back." I tried to reassure him that I was fine I was just exhausted yesterday and I think that had a lot to do with it yesterday. He called any way and I spent another 15 minutes reassuring him our baby boy is digging his current living situation too much to come out any time soon. Today I have had no BH and spent 6 relaxing hours at the pool with DD.
H being in Hawaii for his AT with the army reserves two weeks before EDD is stressful because we all know things can change quickly. But when we found out we were expecting I thought it was much better for him to go than to have to worry about making up that time after the baby gets here. I was late with DD and by all accounts baby boy is following in his sister's footsteps.

+1 I just want to be naked. Beginning to understand those hippie birth videos where everyone involved in the birth seems to completely naked (well, maybe ... I still don't ... eh, never mind). Anyway, I get this. I just really hate clothes right now.

I came home from work early today because I was dehydrated, exhausted, and basically just needed to take all of my clothes off because they were driving me crazy.
DH has a guys' night tonight. He left as soon as I got home from work. The kids really need baths, but we've been eating popcorn and watching movies instead. FFTC?
