AW: Dopplers! I found the HB!

I'm 9w3d today and I found the HB! So excited...and I'm partly just trying trying to up my post count. almost to 100!

Those of you who have found the HB, any tips? I have the angel sounds one and I have spent probably close to 90 min looking on different occasions and can't find it.

Any tips or help would be awesomely appreciated.

I think the best tip is to make sure you have an adequate amount of the gel on your belly, push in and down a little ( but not too hard), and move slowly as you are searching.

How far along are you? I had issues finding the heartbeat until yesterday at 10w 5d.

That must be so frustrating. I'm sorry you're dealing with that. Maybe baby is low and hiding. Or maybe baby is super active and is squishing away faster than you can find it. In any event it's not fun to keep looking without finding. Fx you hear that heartbeat soon!

I have heard that Angel Sounds isn't the best doppler. Last person I talked to said they couldn't find hb until 14 wks. Don't stress, it's probably not user error.

I have been able to find the hb consistently since about 10w4d. I got lucky the first time and found it pretty quickly, so I've always known generally where the baby liked to hang out. What's helped me the most is making sure I have a full bladder and move the paddle very slowly. There have been times when the heartbeat isn't showing up right away, so I just wait awhile and drink a lot of water and try again later.
