I played hooky from work today so I could spend a little alone time with H. We looked at what felt like 50 houses today. Good news is that we found one we really like, bad news is that it seems to be a bit overpriced but the sellers are trying to buy out of a mortgage so we're going to have to do some negotiating. Hopefully we can come to an agreement.
Glad I got off early today. Didn't sleep well last nite. Gonna try to snooze for a few.
Hope you can get some sleep!
Woo! Just got the email that Disney Vacation Club approved our points trade. Trying out Paradise Pier this time. I'm more excited about Disneyland than the preschooler...
You are going to come back and tell us ALLLLLL of the glorious, fantastic, magical details of your trip right? Also, DVC = .

Good luck!! I hope the sellers are reasonable. I also strongly approve playing hooky from work.

DH's plans changed - instead of the guys coming here, he went to one of their houses. Which means I'm left to my own devices for the evening. You know what this means? Ice cream and french fries for dinner. Because those are the only things that sound at all appetizing. And, I mean, ice cream has calcium and stuff in it...

Obviously! And I'll be live blogging on Insta for my foodies group.
We're going in mid-October, and I have an awesome announcement planned for our far-flung relatives and friends while we're there.
Also, Disney freaks: for our wedding anniversary, would you do Steakhouse 55 or Napa Rose?

Woohoo! If I can't get to Disney any time soon, I'll live vicariously through others. Love doing a Disney announcement. On our honeymoon, we took one for our first BFP.
I don't know enough about either restaurant - other than you won't go wrong with either choice!

nexttonormal and @organicrosemary I actually bought my 2 year old one of the harness backpacks for the zoo trip. It's the skip hop giraffe one. He absolutely loves it and wanted to keep it on today just around the house. So, I'm hoping this helps let him burn off energy and not drive me crazy trying to chase after him all day.
Yes. I bought my kid a leash. Never thought I would, but hey... at least we can enjoy a day out together without wearing myself thin

Doesn't ice cream also have eggs? Hello, protein! And with your french fries, that's like, most of the food groups. I approve of this meal.

And ketchup is made from tomatoes, which are totally a fruit. I'm gonna call this a well-balanced meal.

VACAAAA!!! I spent today grocery shopping for the week, then resting. Had ice cream and chips and dip for lunch then went hiking. Of course had to rest again after that. Now maybe heading into "town" for farmers market and live music. Or maybe just resting some more...

Oh yikes! I just got a phone call from our corporate. I'm being given a restaurant. I'm excited, but panicking. That's normal when you get a promotion that skips like three levels, right?

Great idea. I always say, I was the perfect parent before I had kids. I thought I knew all the answers. Then I had kids and basically threw all that "knowledge" in the trash. (Along with the uneaten chicken nuggets and mac and cheese I swore I'd never feed them.)

rachelilly23 you will never receive judgement from me regarding toddler leashes. I totally used to be the person side eyeing parents with toddler leashes, that is until I had a toddler. It's actually on my list of things to get for DD. My sister has one for my 20 m/o nephew and he loves it.

I am the rudest hostess ever. MH's stepmom and 2 teenage nieces are visiting. I'm sitting in the house while everyone is outside because I can't stand the smell of the BBQ they are cooking. And in 20 minutes I'm leaving to go watch last night's Bachelorette at my sister's. Don't care.
ETA: I put my 2yo nephew on a leash when I take him anywhere. Most of the time I let him hold the leash end. He behaves so well when he holds his own leash, it's awesome. It's like he needs a job to do and he wants to do it well. If it's super crowded I hold the leash though.
