Should have gone to CVS yesterday like I had planned and bought the last things for my hospital bag, because my friggin my water broke this morning!!!! Like one of those scenes in the movies. Thank god this did not happen 4 hours later when I was driving to work.
Probably should have scheduled that hospital tour too. And shaved my legs last night. And finished all the laundry lying around. So many more things I should have done. Does everyone feel like this? I thought I had 3 more weeks!!
So far have had NO nesting instinct so I still have so much to do and am freaking out a bit! Not enough contractions to go to the hospital for now though. SO I am officially in nesting mode for the next few hours until contractions are stronger than 2 times an hour. I don't think I have ever felt adrenaline like this before!
(I'm home alone until husband gets home from work and I'm obviously excited/nervous, and since everyone I know is still sleeping, I'm going to keep rambling on here... which means I'm still procrastinating).
SO back to laundry/packing/emergency cleaning for me, hope everyone has a great day, and wish me and this baby luck because it is occurring to me I still have never changed a diaper!
Update!
After a few hours I headed into L&D. They did some monitoring (of course once I get there my contractions slowed considerably... I had only 3 in the hour I was there, but on the 25 minute car ride in I had 3. So frustrating).
So they sent me home and told me to come in when they get closer to 3 minutes a part. Well I must have had 5 on the car ride home, then got home and had the motherload of a contraction (I honestly don't know wtf it was. It lasted 6 minutes and I ended up lying on the bathroom floor throwing up and crying. Never felt pain like that in my life). And now they are back to normal, about 5 to 6 minutes apart and are thankfully not making me throw up on the bathroom floor. So hopefully by the end of today we will have our little baby girl!!!! Thanks for the positive thoughts everyone!! I really appreciate it!
Holy cow what an afternoon! Came back to the hospital around 12, they went to check my cervix and.... Surprise! Fully dialated and baby was breach.... Had been told head down since 32 weeks.
They quickly got me prepped for c section bc my contractions were about 1 minute apart. Total shit show putting in cathedior. Did a lot of crying. Surgery was successful though! Baby born at 315. 6 lbs 12 oz and 18 inches. I heard her first cry and lost it. So in love. So beautiful!
Thanks so much for the well wishes today everyone!!
