I have three tattoos, one on each ankle and one on my lower back (before the word tramp stamp became a thing). So they can all be covered if need be.
I'd really like a small infinity symbol for LO on the inside of my wrist. When I was working, my company initially said tats had to be covered, so we all kept band aids at our desk, but finally they lightened up and said as long as they weren't huge or offensive they were fine.
I will eventually go back to work when LO is older, but I don't know how other companies are about tattoos. I figure it will be small enough I could always go the band aid route or wear a big bracelet or something if need be. Should I just play it safe and get it someplace more easily hidden or is it probably not a big deal?
Agree that it's probably dependent on your industry and workplace culture. My work wouldn't have a big problem with it, but I don't deal with clients or have many interactions with people outside of the company.

I wouldn't even say industry dependent, but company dependent. My last retail workplace regulated grooming down to the length of men's hair and the number of rings you could wear...visible tattoos were out of the question. My current workplace allows small visible tattoos. If I were you, I would be safe and get one you could cover. You could even cover a small one on your wrist with a watch if you really wanted one there.

Could you do one in like white ink or a lighter color instead of the obvious black?
I loooove tattoos but the older I get the more I think about it as how am I going to feel about this when I am older. I have 4, one on each inside of my ankles, one on the outside of my ankle and one on my lower back so all 4 can be hidden. I look at people with visible ones such as sleeves and big gaudy ones and wonder how are you going to feel about that when you're old in a nursing home or with your grand children. I also work with an older population and it's not something they did when they were younger so tattoos aren't real common to see on them right now so maybe when we start seeing it more it wouldn't be so weird to think about?

I would think you are probably safe with a small tattoo on the inside of your wrist - the band aid/bracelet/watch cover should be enough if needed. Not to mention that it's not a very visible area to begin with. So unless the workplace is super strict about tattoos or you're doing work where your inner wrist is visible a lot, I wouldn't worry about it too much. They also have good tattoo covering make up.
I'm not sure if anywhere I've worked has had a tattoo policy. I have one tattoo that's on by back hip so no one ever sees it unless I want them too. I've thought about getting another tattoo and as mrssmith613 suggested, I'm thinking of getting a white ink tattoo, but I don't know if I'm motivated enough to actually get to a tattoo parlor to get it done. LOL. I guess if some crazy night I end up at a tattoo parlor, at least i know what i'd request.

nattybumppo,I hadn't even thought about white ink, I'll look into that.
My old job that had a tattoo policy and then lifted it was in the financial industry, so I also think it is dependent on each individual company. I think I'll go for it, like some of you said, the inside of the wrist isn't super conspicuous anyway and a watch/make up should cover it up if need be.
I have two, my family crest on my back left hip , and a lion cub on my front right hip. Both can be covered. When I got the lion, 19,I was small enough to wear a bikini and it look cute its head was above the bikini and looked like he was peeling out. It was cute. I want to get DD'S name add an anklet at some point. My profession does not care about tats as long as they are not offensive.
I have two. Neither are visible. My husband has 4 and just got a job in the tech/finance industry. All his are visible. I say go for it, but I have seen A LOT of infinity tats lately.
