Hi! I swear I searched for this board a couple days ago but it wasn't here yet.
Let's see... We're currently stationed in Maryland, but recently have lived in Maine, California, and Virginia. DH is a Naval officer. I'm hoping we get to stay in the same place for a few years- two of our recent PCS orders were when I was 20 weeks pregnant and when DD was 5 months old. I'm hoping to stay put with Baby #2 for a while!
DH, LO and I have been stationed in CO for about two years now. He's leaving for his first deployment next month! Luckily, I have family to stay with in TX, so I don't suffer alone for nine months with a new baby.
Hello there! Another Navy family here. DH is an officer in the HR community. Redesignated after he was medically DQ from flight school. We PCSd from MT in July to FL. They pretty much did away with DHs job a month after we moved. So we have no idea if we'll actually get to stay here for the three year tour. I'm hoping so..b/c moving with a six week old last time was damn near the death of me.

Hi!
AD AF family here. DH has five years left before he hits twenty. Currently on recruiting duty and not sure if he's going to finish out in recruiting or go back to his career field. No deployments are awesome with recruiting but promotions would be better in his career field. It's kind of a toss up.
We have two kids, DS is 4 and DD is 18 months, and expecting our grand finale in May.
#1 - 10/10 | #2 - lost but not forgotten 10/12 | #3 - 7/13 | #4 - 5/15 Diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer 12/19/16 Finished with chemo 4/27/17! Double mastectomy summer 17 Radiation fall 17

Hello! I'm an active Army spouse, and also an Army reservist who got off active duty last year. We've been stationed in GA the last 3+ years, but my husband is in Korea now for a year, and we're hoping to get up to the DC area when he gets back. No kids yet, but if our FET in a couple weeks is successful, I'll be able to say I conceived without my husband even being here (FX and prayers for that please!!)

Hiya! DH is AF. We live in the Pacific Northwest. I was born and raised about 2.5 - 3 hours from where we currently live, but we will be making a cross country move in about a year. It's both exciting and terrifying. Especially since I am due with our first in September.
Hello!! We're an Army family currently in Alabama. We've been in Germany, Virginia, Tennessee and should be moving again this summer. We have 2 boys - one is getting ready to turn 7 and the other getting ready to turn 3.
My husband is in the Air Force. We are originally from Illinois and Wisconsin but currently call Alabama home. It's a good possibility that we will be here for the rest of his time in since his job doesn't move them around a lot (spent 7 at Scott and 4 at Keesler). We are expecting our first child (a boy) in May. Looking forward to getting involved here!
Hello! I didn't post much on this board on the Knot but thought I would start. DH is former active navy and now is navy reserves. We live in Jacksonville, FL. This is my hometown but DH is from Worcester, MA. Since we have been married he has been deployed a few weeks here and there and then did a year in Kuwait. We have one DD who is almost 7 months. DH will be going on a det in April for about 41 days. I am not excited.
I have so much admiration for those of you who have little ones and handle frequent and/or long deployments on a regular basis.

Hi all! The husbandman is in the Navy and we have been in Hampton Roads since 2011. We met in Jacksonville, FL while I was in my senior year at UNF and he was stationed in Mayport. We've been married for almost four years and are expecting our Little Man in about three weeks. This will be our first (:

Wicked awesome, I'm from Worcester originally! Worcester represent!
I'm so excited this board is here now!! DH is in basic(Army) right now graduating in Feb and we're about to start TTCing our first. We're about to be in Ft Gordon area.
Mind if I ask what your H's job is in the Army? I know the Fort Gordon area well. Feel free to ask any questions (unless it's about on-post housing- that I can't answer) and I'll be glad to help you out.

Not around here much, but I'll poke in here and there.
DH is Navy and will retire at the end of the year. We're currently in the Norfolk, VA area. We moved here from San Diego though, so I may be of help if anyone is living out there as well. Before San Diego, we were in VA as well. DH has also lived in a few other places in his decade or so in before we got together. I've been with DH about 10 years now, married for 5.5 years. Two kids, ages 3 and 9 months. The older one is autistic and is therefore in the EFMP program. DH was deployed last winter while I was pregnant with DD. He got back just a couple weeks before her arrival...super fun not knowing if he'd be back in time.
I notice there is some Worcester talk up above. Both DH and I are originally from MA. Further west than Worcester though, Franklin County.

My DH is definitely not missing home this week. lol

Hello! I usually play on GKU (formerly TTGP on TheDump). I'm active duty Air Force mother of 2, currently trying for #3. I am stationed in CA. Love seeing this board here.

What, he doesn't want to clear snow so deep it's measured in feet???
I'm a SAHM to 2 year old twins. DH is active duty Army. I'm a third generation Army wife to my husband/family's specific career (not planned - promise!). I grew up as a brat. My mother was pretty impeccable for setting the standard of how to raise a military kid. I'm just trying to keep up.
We're currently stationed, with a homebase, in the PNW. I'm a Bragg girl by birth.

Hi everyone. I'm an Army wife. We've been here at Benning for 5 years. DH travels a lot for his job, anywhere from 1-3 weeks per month, so it can get kinda lonely here. Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Hello everyone. We are currently AD Army (well, the husband is). We are supposed to PCS this summer but no official orders yet so the waiting game of where to go and when to be there is still on. :-) I am a SAHM of 2 boys (6 and 5yr) with a girl due in early May.
Hi everyone! AD AF here--both my husband and I. We have a 14w old little girl. We are stationed in Oklahoma, but it looks like we will be leaving sometime later this year. No idea where yet, but we shall see.
Howdy. Thought that I would intro here, get this board going. DH is active duty USMC. Currently a Major stationed in California. Anxiously waiting to see if we will be moving this summer as new orders are coming out. We are 4 weeks away from the arrival of DS. I have a DD from a previous "relationship" and he has two sons from his previous marriage. It is likely that he will deploy within the next 10 months or so, as he is in zone for promotion. We have been married since 2013 and I am still adjusting to the military life and military wife status. When Im not on bed rest, I am a full time attorney...... That pretty much sums us up in a nutshell.

It's 25B, IT specialist. Thanks! I'm looking at places to live now in the Augusta area. I think I found a few. Did you use all of your BAH on actual housing every month or were you able to save at all? I'm trying to keep our housing costs low to save some but I'm wondering if we're going to get screwed with a nasty apartment if we do it that way...
Sorry for the late reply... I never got notification that you quoted/responded to me. Weird!
What is your husband's rank? I'm not sure what his actual BAH would be without knowing his rank, but housing around here is definitely reasonably-priced.

I'm a linguist too What language? I'm Arabic. That's a pretty exciting job change for him... Hopefully I'll be doing the same thing (going enlisted to officer), but as a nurse rather than a chaplain.

Hi other ladies! My DH is AD Coast Guard, expecting new orders in about a week or so. I'm due with our first at the end of the month. It's going to be a busy spring, looking forward to a new location--we're currently in New England looking at another foot of snow coming down!

He did Korean. Hated it. Haha. But I think it's cool. He learned how to make awesome sushi the move to officer is great! He likes it a lot. Except you have to go to COT and you get only $400 uniform allowance (at least in the AF) so it's expensive to upgrade all the dress blues and medals and patches and stuff.
