I plan on going to get diapers today. Stupid DH doesn't want me to go and is trying to blame the ice. It's already above freezing so I assume whatever ice crawled onto the roads over night will be melted by the time I leave. I think we have a full sleeve to get us through the week but I want to get out. I'm having a just another day birthday tomorrow so McD"s coffee and an hour in the car would be nice.
Inspired by brewcitygal I took DD out for breakfast after we dropped H at work. I had grand visions of her playing in the McDonald's play place afterwards but it smelled like pee so I decided that can wait until she's old enough to care about wanting to go in.
I just stumbled across a job posting I really, really want. I feel weird. I didn't know I wanted to go back to work outside of the home but now I do....the hours of the job work out with H's schedule so that we wouldn't even need to put DD in childcare. I'm trying to think of negatives about it so I won't die of heartbreak if I don't get it.
negative number one: it'll cut into your Probing time.

My almost 3 YO dd walked in on me and dh having sex. This is the THIRD time in just a handful of months. DH is no longer allowed to 'lock' the door because he sucks at it, obv.
I swear when we're trying to sleep, dd comes in like a herd of elephants but she has stealth mode on when THIS happens. Lol
Yikes! What do you say/do when this happens?! It hasn't happened in our house yet, but I feel like it's really only a matter of time!
The coffee is hot if you get at it pretty quickly. But logistics here in the boonies means it could be an hour before I get to it. Therefore, cold.
I have a mug like that, PP, if only I could remember to bring it. I usually leave it at work because of the same, take too long to drink it with all the distraction, issues.

Why doesn't he want you to go?
No clue. He's not ready to be out of bed so I sent him back. He was blaming ice. He will probably be more rational when the sun is shining. He's probably just being an idiot.

He might need to eat
Lulz. He's awful when he's hangry. He will sweeten up after half a cup of brown sugar in his oatmeal.

tLex will you regret not applying? You can always turn it down but you can't rewind and apply.
eta I think I misread - But I say apply with confidence. Being happy with being home and having the opportunity to apply to a great job sounds like a choice between two good things. If you don't get it just tell yourself it's not that you were miserable with your current life to begin with.
I live in one of those states that liquor stores are closed on Sunday's. When we go out of town, I like to stop at grocery stores just to revel in the delight of wine in grocery stores, available on Sunday's no less.
Hi parenting! I'm tired. I stayed up late to start the show Dexter on Netflix and my kid woke up early this am. Wasn't even worth it. I watched the first two episodes and decided it's not for me. Having a kid turned me into a pansy. Pre-baby me would have loved that show but it made me feel icky for some reason.
The fourth season is the best! It just goes downhill from there.
Dexter is one of my all time fave shows! Although season 8 was a travesty.
We are off to do a sleigh ride today a bit out of town. Should be beautiful and then it's massive house cleaning/laundry day. my H is having knee surgery on Wednesday so I need to get all chores done as he keeps saying he won't be demanding but this is the fourth go around and I remember the post op monster he becomes!

tLex yeah I realized I misread and edited above. If you have the skills, you have the skills. I really hope it works out for you - I was out of the job market for a year once and diving back in is nerve wracking!

I am very sad for those of you who can't have boozy breakfast/bruch. Today is my H's birthday so we have reservations for brunch at our fave spot. It is supposed to be 66 today. No snow for me!
