Is anyone into a routine yet? I can't remember what we did with DD, but it seems my 2 month old twins are down to essentially 3 naps a day. The first is about an hour after they get up, the second is around 11 or 12 for 2-3 hours, and then they have another around 4 pm, and then they're up from 5-8 pm or a bit later like 9 pm if they happen to have a fourth nap around 7. Does this sound about right? They could really use some more nap in the evening as they're pretty fussy but it's just not happening. I'm also trying to remember when DD started going to bed earlier (like 6 or 7). Maybe it was around this same time when they aren't napping in the evening. The problem with that is trying to have supper and get DD to bed by 8 pm. It was nice when the babies went to bed after her in a way because we weren't trying to get 3 ready for bed at the same time.

My son is 2 months old (and some change). I think he is still taking 3 and a half naps. I say half because the fourth nap is not reliable--some days he'll take it, other times not. Even when he does take the fourth nap, it varies widely in length (from 15 minutes to an hour). I just let him lead the way--when he gets super fussy, I soothe him and if he sleeps, great, if not, oh well.
I wish I could say that we have a routine, but the only "routine" thing about our days right now is a bath sometime between 8 and 9 pm right before "bedtime". Everything else is touch and go.
I can't imagine what it is like trying to get three to bed at the same time though--one is hard enough!

DS2 is 12 weeks tomorrow and he still has no schedule. We just go on his cues. He's still sleeping A LOT, which our pedi didn't seem concerned with.. but the longest he's awake now is about 3 hours and that's only if he's fighting sleep.

DS still naps between every feeding. He usually eats for 30 min, up for 40-60 min and then naps for 45-60 min. It's the same routine for each feeding. Makes my life predictable no pattern of length of sleep at night though

We didn't go so much with a timed schedule as a pattern. EASY - Eat, Activity, Sleep, You. Using that method she kind of formed her own routine of two naps per day. We'd get up around 7, nap #1 around 930-10, Up around Noon, nap #2 at 130-230, up around 5, and bedtime at about 7ish. She STTN most nights, though, so there's that aspect, too. Now when she's at daycare apparently she just naps once at around noon with the other kids, though she has taken some late afternoon naps, too. I think she just pushed her first nap up to the car ride to daycare, naps at noon for a couple hours with the kids, and again at 4ish until we pick her up. So more naps, but shorter times. Don't fret about how your kiddo compares to others. No two kids are alike and as long as your baby is happy and healthy whatever their nap schedules are is fine.
DD is now 14 weeks (will be 15 weeks on Saturday). She is good about giving us one long nap mid morning, and another long nap mid afternoon. In between its just cat naps. We too do EASY with her. Her awake/activity time is usually about an hour and a half-two hours before she wants to sleep again for a bit.
