What do you call your baby? Just "Baby"? Or Bean? Bump? Squirt? Something else? Why that name? When will you start using a "real" name?
We are calling our baby "Encore". We're both big music lovers, and it seems appropriate since this is our last. Plus, we feel it gives our child an identity to have a name, and it makes it more real for us. Also, it's gender neutral, so it will keep til March. (Team Green!) We won't keep "real" names a secret, but we won't use them til s/he's here.
We have been calling the baby "baby" mostly. I actually like that, from Call the Midwife, how they always say that, like "let's check on baby". I have also used bean and peanut but haven't really committed and it feels more forced.
The other issue is the whole he/she/it thing, it feels so wrong to say it but it also isn't quite right to say he or she. So usually I say baby, sometimes I say he, it just comes out, then I usually correct and say baby.
We will not be sharing names with anyone until LO is born, maybe letters, but also maybe not depending what we pick.

Just baby for now. DS1 is the Nugs (short for nugget), DS2 is Mininugs (mini-nugget.) So, at some point we will start calling this one Micronugs for micro-nugget. It's our thing.
We won't share our decided name for baby until he or she is here. We might share our short lists, but not the actual name. We'll likely pick the name right after we find out if it's a boy or girl.

We call this one Peanut. My daughter was Poppy. We will start using his or her real name when we find out what we are having because we are finding out. We have names picked out either way.

We call it 2.0 or baby. We are 80% sure we'll be team green but even if we find out the sex we won't share until baby is born (and sharing with random internet strangers doesn't count, I'll say our name picks all over this board haha).
We are team green and were w LO too. He was baby bear...and we still call him that sometimes. H has started referring to this one as the baby bean, but I am not sure that has stuck for me yet.

Does parasite count? That's what "it" was until a few days ago when the sickness finally started to subsided. Now that I'm feeling better (and know there are two) they'll be beans I guess. That's what I called DD while pregnant.

I am so jealous you already have names figured out. It took us forever to agree on DS's name, mostly because my H likes the worst names ever. Sorry to all the Archibalds and Rembrandts of the world...but seriously?!

I referred to new baby as parasite the other day...as in "This parasite is sucking all of my fluids out of me, I just can't get enough water".

This new LO will likely end up nameless.
Boy names are THE WORST to come up with. DH and I finally went through the Social Security top 500 list, picked our top 20-30, and settled on a name that way. DD was named so easily.

100% agree! And of course I had 2 boys... God help us if we have to name a 3rd boy lol.

This is so true!
I already have a girl's name picked out...but I already know I'm not having a girl (woman's intuition? and the fact that our neighborhood only produces boys) so it's a moot point.
For the record, H hates my girl's name and said absolutely no way to Cameron. The name battle rages on. At least he's consistent in his love of terrible names.

I just want to point out we both have Logans. Because it's the best name.

Yes! That was the only name we could compromise on the first time around. Emmett I really liked, but H wasn't totally on board... and then when I went in to have him, the MFM doctor that was attending to me was named Dr. Brown, like Dr. Emmett Brown from Back to the Future. So it was fate.

Yup, this is how Logan got his name. It was the only name we could even remotely agree on. There are no others. god help this poor child-to-be.
+1 for parasite. It's my favorite name for bebe when I am trying to keep food down. When I feel ok, I call it peanut or baby. I'm sure DH will come up with something after our u/s next week, he just hasn't been able to visualize it yet.
We've been calling it Little Bear because a few nights before I got my BFP, I had the WORST intestinal issues and the growling sounds coming from me were so loud my husband asked if I had "a bear in there."
I call it my Blueberry Baby... I started when it was the size of a blueberry, and I just never stopped. LOL.
We have a name chosen - it's gender neutral, so we will use it for whatever sex our baby is. DH is already calling it that, and I have to be honest, it freaks me out sometimes... I don't know why. I guess acknowledging that there really is a tiny human in there? Who knows.

We've been sticking to Baby T (last name initial). There's a bit of fear/anxiety to put a nickname to this one right now. Hopefully after our next appointment some of that will go away and we'll figure out something to call this one. We're Team Green, and will be keeping name choices on lockdown until LO is born.

We usually call it Yoshi since there can be pink or blue yoshis so I figured it works either way and I'm a Nintendo nerd. I sometimes call it bean or crab baby (our u/s looks like a crab) too. My app told me that the baby is the size of a lego person this week so we've been calling it lego baby the last few days.

I need to know what app you're using.
I have a feeling SheilaTheTank will want to know as well.
