I love snow too! Although I'm currently in a l&d room with no Windows, so I have no clue if snow is falling here
You're in labor or just a precaution? GL either way! If you're in labor, FX for a quick & healthy labor and delivery!
I'm in l&d for labor I'm being induced due to a high risk pg. I think I managed to get an hour nap in, this bed sucks though. It's hard as a rock! Meanwhile DH is fast asleep on the hospital sofa. Must be nice.

wa1215 - My DH slept through a large part of my labor as well... and I was in labor for 28 hrs., so lucky him. What hospital are you at? I hope everything runs without a hiccup!

We got maybe an inch around my parts. And I'm still frustrated with Butler County. They've let me down. I'm on the road by 6:45am every morning during the week to take DD to the sitter and the roads were pretty crappy, even though it didn't even snow that much. Gah. I white knuckle it all the way there because I'm so nervous with DD in the car.
We got a dusting, and I have so many errands to run, but I don't plan on leaving the house since I don't trust others on the road with DD in the car. I'm hoping DH flight is cancelled tomorrow morning so he doesn't leave us all week traveling for work;)
ladytiffany24-he's first headed to Chicago, and I'm guessing it will be affected tomorrow from what the news said. I just hate being alone at night with DD because I'm crazy and always think of the worst things happening in the dark:(

I totally get it! I'm afraid of the dark like a little kid! I always think the worst when I hear random noises. With that being said, I'm sure all is well and you'll be totally fine! If you wake up scared in the middle of the night, just hop on the boards to occupy your mind.
Snow Day down here in Kenton/Grant County! I was hoping for one since I'm a teacher, but it seemed like the snow was only going north! Just enough for a day off I guess. I like snow days on Mondays since the house is already clean.
Yup, to my surprise woke up this morning to closed schools and white stuff. Who knew lol.
What??? They actually closed school for this? I drive backroads from my house to Grant. Co. and back every morning, and there was only one road (Grant co. road) that wasn't treated and clear.

That's the thing one road could close a whole county depending on where buses have to go. I don't think anyone was prepared, or it was just me lol. But morning view has lots of bridges, hollars, and untreated roads.

It always surprises me how many closings and delays there are when it snows. Like, half an inch, and there's 50 closings and 100 delays. Wth? It is not that serious. I remember driving home from work one time in a tropical storm. We were getting a hurricane that night, but it's business as usual up until they absolutely can't anymore.
Yeah here they never worry about the tornados, torrential downpours, 60mp winds- but a dusting of snow and schools are closed. I'm always mad at work that the tornados aren't enough to send us home or somewhere with a basement!!

What's up with that? It must people because people don't know how to drive, so snow on roads = more accidents.
I think in NKY it's that our counties are huge and there are rural parts to them. They have to close the whole school for the one rural road they couldn't get the buses to. But I'm not buying that this morning- it couldn't have been that bad out anywhere here.

This is how I feel. I drove from Indepence through Piner to Crittenden and only had 1 road that wasn't treated. That one road was the road is where my parents live, and the only time I had a problem with it was when I was coming to a stop and even that was just a little brake skidding, it's not like I was all over the road trying to stop.
The way schools close in NKY is one of the reasons we are seriously considering private schools once M starts kindergarten.
