Oh yes, and fuck snow! Fuck thermals, Fuck hats, Fuck gloves, Fuck dry skin, Fuck high gas bills, Fuck cold floors, Fuck icy roads, Fuck wearing 5 layers on my upper body. Fuck the snow that falls onto my car seat when I open the door. Fuck people driving 10 miles an hour under the speed limit splattering shit all over my windshield. That is all.
I agree with all of this except I like thermals! You're referring to pajamas, yes? Don't hate pajamas, they you
Have any of you checked out TB lately? It truly is a ghost town now. I hope the company realizes how much they screwed themselves.
I looked last night. I saw some stupid trollish posts from people with 0 post histories. I wonder if it's the bump people trying to keep it alive.
This is my theory!!!! If you ever noticed, they troll their own boards for front page content. I saw our pp sex thread turned into an article. They changed some usernames I think.
I bet we consented somewhere during sign up though. I still think it's cheesy
I'm up nursing my little guy. Dh has to be up soon as he has to be at a customer site unusually early today. I feel so bad for him cause lo was up early fussing. I got him settled down quickly and am hoping Dh didn't wake but it's not likely.
I too am a little jealous of those of you getting snow. It's been unusually warm in the Pacific Northwest lately. I wore a short sleeve shirt yesterday (in usually cold, wet Seattle). I'd love a little snow (I live far enough from the city that we usually get a dusting or two every winter).
You're a niner fan in Seattle? Oh lordy, that sounds like hell lol...my older sisters grew up around San Jose and me and my little sister near Denver. (We are 14 years apart) They're niner fans first and Bronco fans second, and I'm the other way around. One of my older sisters lived in Seattle for 10 years so her oldest (now 27) still lives there and has become a Seahawks fan. It has caused many facebook "issues"', let's just say it's not pretty during football season. My family is hardcore.
It is a bit crazy! I lived in San Jose for 25 years so grew up with the niners. I've been in the Seattle area for 13 years. My being a Niner fan was no big deal until about 3 years ago(I.e 2012 the inception of most Seahawk fans). I don't mind & get along w/ the longtime fans but the new bandwagon fans are a bit over the top& give the real fans a bad rap.
Question, is anyone else getting good carpel tunnel from breastfeeding? My wrist hurts so bad from holdin lo.
I had it at the end of my pregnancy, and then it got so much worse after LO was born. In the last couple of weeks it has actually gotten better. I wore wrist braces at night, and that did seem to help. I also started lifting weights a bit, and I think that probably helped to.

The emoji game on tapatalk is weak
Oh no, I love me some jammies!! lol.....I am referring to long underwear, we call them thermals here, but maybe thats just our local lingo. Me and my long johns! ha ha! I think there are pajamas made from this same type of waffle like material....but I just wear them under my jeans.
kfo22 is it a big move? we're moving mid february but it'll be easy peasy (within the same building). I should probably still think about packing though.
Decided to rent a medela symphony for two months to try to boost my supply. It's so quiet and I've already pumped a full bottle from two pumps today. AND my mom is here today to help with LO while my H travels. I can get on the computer! Eat breakfast! Enjoy coffee! Maybe I'll even nap post run.
You guys, my kid is playing happily on his playmat, I think going on 15 minutes. This let me get everything ready at the house I needed to do to prep for the storm! (I'm getting more nervous as it approaches)
I got my freemies in today! I am currently pumping and playing with my baby without having any interference! I'm so excited. So far so good. Will update with output when I'm done.
Anyone else's kiddos not rolling over yet? Mine has legs of steel, and tries to use those instead of his arms. Meanwhile he is grabbing and holding toys, throwing them, etc with his hands. What gives LO?
My kid is the same way, he is so strong. Perfect head control, can practically crawl already (not really, but if you put your hand behind his feet he can shoot off with his feet) no rolling over though.
Re: sore wrists - I first reported mine to the OB at the pp visit at 7 weeks. She said to monitor it. By the time LO was 10-11 weeks, I went to see my PCP who called it Dequarvain's tendonitis in both wrists. I wear a brace, but morning wake-up is the worst. Ibuprofen and the brace and some stretching exercises help a little. Can't find the time to ice it well.
I'm thinking of touching base with the PCP again.
Re: rolling... I need to get LO on the activity mat more. Sometimes a couple of days go by and we don't do it. She may be spending too much time sleeping.
My baby does not roll over, but the pedi was impressed with her head control, propped her up on her elbows, then lifted up the blanket she was on to make her roll. She said it would be any day now (she's 9w5d). But that's if she wakes up ever...

This is so true! I'm from Northern CA but went to culinary school in Seattle in the early 2000s. It was right after they built the new Seahawks stadium and I remember them giving away tickets to the games because no one would go! So all this 12th man crap is hilarious to me. Where have all these fans beens all these years!?
I'm a Niners fan too and when the Niners/Seahawks rivalry starting getting big the last couple years I was like when did we become rivals with Seattle!? So weird! I used to always root for Seattle teams when my teams weren't playing because Seattle is like my 2nd home and we go up there at least once a year but I can't stand the Seahawks now. Everyone has just gotten so obnoxious.

So I'm so happy because I got my LO down for a nap in her bassinet in her room almost an hour ago and she is still in there! Holy crap! Usually daytime naps are struggle but I decided now that she's 8 weeks old this week I was going to start working on it. I figure even if she only naps for 20 minutes or so it's progress in the right direction. And it only took her 10 minutes to get her down. Yay!
I tried putting LO in the PNP for her AM nap, which can last 2-3 hours in the RNP.
Transfer was flawless after she fell asleep in my arms. I managed to unload the dishwasher and make a mug of Mothers Milk tea... then I heard her squawk in PNP. Awoken because she could move her legs. Le sigh. Now she's asleep on me.
Guise! LO just nursed w/o the nipple shield for the first 7 min of our session! Progress!!
I've been off of it for about 10 days. My best advice is to tell you to burp a lot. I have to use some gas drops before feeding sometimes. The flow is so much faster to them without it that they swallow a lot of air.
It is so much easier without it! Feeding takes half the time. Keep it up
I don't know if this would be an option, but do you know any women who live near you who aren't nursing and would maybe want to use breastmilk? I know that when I stopped nursing my oldest, I would have loved to have someone give me some excess milk, but I realize that's not true for everyone. Good luck!

Yes! I'm in portland and we took the kids to the park this weekend. People were out wearing short sleeve shirts. It's supposed to be fairly nice this whole week. So weird.
mander82 lol at your "this must be what other ladies have been feeling". I'm in the same boat. it's finally getting better!
I am glad to hear that someone else can relate to this feeling....not that I wish a colicky baby on anyone.....but knowing I am not alone helps me feel a little less like a fail mom. Everyone is all like "I cried when I went back to work, and I don't ever want to leave my babies side, and no one wants to give my baby back when they hold them"
I am over here thinking I am not fit to be a mother because I don't feel like that. When I get visitors, I gladly hand my screaming child to them. "Here, you try"

Thanks! Super excited. Now I just have to get her to learn how to relatch when she pops off for air...she doesn't get it lol once she's latched initially it seems to be fine, but when she pops off the nipple is of course wet and slippery so she's confused as to how to get back on. Maybe I'll try drying it off before trying to relatch her...?
No one told me it would make nursing faster!!! She drained my boob in like 10 min (vs 20)! That's way more motivation to take the plunge...she's been doing well supply-wise so I figured there was no rush. Cool!
