If you guise need me, I'll be cleaning off the guest bed. If DH is going to sniffle loudly all night, I'm going in there. He can stay in our bed with the pita cats and the baby monitor.
Dear DH, I've had the same cold as you for longer than you, but I haven't taken a single thing for it. Nor am I sniffling loudly. Nor am I eating DayQuil like candy. Man up, please.
I'm watching The Bachelor. Wut? So many crazies this season. I can't tell who's real.
Sigh.
I'm not watching. I might have reached my limit.
This season is pretty blah, and some of the girls are obviously actresses. There's no way they're real people. Although I do know some weirdos, they're not this weird.

What is this ear infection smell? Can someone describe it for me?
So I have a fever, headache and vomited, so of course I have the night off from babyG duty right? Not when DH is a self employed plow-man and we're getting 20-ish inches of snow in the next day! So I'm washing my hands a lot and hopefully not spreading whatever this is....

@joybaby5 not really. I moved to dh's town 6 years ago but since I work so far away I haven't really made friends up here and we're 1.5-2.5 hrs from any family.
It's ok. I feel better after vomiting. It could have been the headache that caused the nausea (or vice versa) so I'm just sipping water and I've eaten a couple crackers. I actually remembered I have a face mask that I brought home from the hospital when I was getting checked for pink eye last month. If babyG decides that he'll only sleep on me again tonight, I may wear it to sleep.

Catching up.
Hugs avswolf. We are here for you and love you, lady. You are amazing and will find another job. I'm sorry you are having to deal with this, though. Please keep talking to us and we can help you.
Please don't feel guilty or bad about needing to chill on the couch today and let your body/mind feel the things they need to feel right now.
I also second going to the gym when you get a chance, the endorphins will help you feel better...and if nothing else, keep your mind clear for a short time. ❤️

Sorry you're feeling sick!
I don't have a ton of ear infection experience, but I've never smelled something during an infection and a friend whose son ended up needing tubes would just bring him in when he turned super cranky. She never mentioned a smell.
Sadly no pudding photos but he licked the spoon clean haha
Baffled because I don't equate ear infection with those symptoms but *the more you know* I guess. Last month when he had ear infection he was kinda opposite, screaming unsettled, his ear had the odor to it. He ran a fever. I have a lot to learn I guess.
But I did learn my boy is a chocolate pudding lover
Some babies/kids just get ear infections when they have colds. So crankiness after a few days of drainage from a cold or allergies and there you are. Perhaps he was less cranky because you caught this earlier?
I think the smell last time was likely unusual. Ear infections just sneak up on you. They're assholes.
T woke up, fussed himself back to sleep, which lasted for 20 minutes and he was awake again. I sent DH in there to give him some motrin, do a diaper change and rock.him for a bit... that way no boobs are available. .. I haven't fed him at midnight in weeks and I don't want to throw that feeding back in the mix... but I have a feeling he will go ape shit when DH puts him back in the crib and I'll be in there anyway...
