Goodwill had nothing to get for the bru trade in. I decided to stop at a second hand store. I scored a $10 bouncer. With the 25% off I save $75 so its worth it but of course Gage had to get a toy. Is was only $8. It was actually a score because it was the little people train set ($35 on eBay) and the little people tractor and trailer ($19 at target).
But I see now that they have 15% off strollers if you dont have anything to trade. So the difference would be $30 in coupons. Between his toy and the bounced to get the coupon I will only save $10 more. BUT I got $50+ dollars in toys and $10 more off. If any of that makes sense.

Thinking of those who are prepping for the storm. I f'ing hate blizzards... you never know how bad it will be or how long it will take for life to get back to normal.
My whine is I ready to have these babies. I'm sick of being babysat by different people so that I will have a ride to the hospital. Im sick of people asking when the babies are coming... i don't know... if it were up to me, they'd come now. I'm glad I have carried them so long but I hope they decide to come soon.... my pelvis and bladder hate me.
T decided last night that 3 am was party time. I was up with him until almost 5. And oh yeah, I didn't actually go to bed to start with until 2. I am so tired today. Great way to start a week. No one is here today so I am literally sitting at my desk eating peanut butter trying to stay awake, lol.

aimeefarrahfowler I am trying to figure out how to hold my head up and cover my eyes so I can get some shut-eye as I type. Dying to sleep right now. So boared on top of it.
Whine: I don't feel like putting on clothes and going to teach tonight. I have to though...this class missed last week bc of the holiday so we already have 1 less week to get the all the info covered. We can't do it if I miss tonight. The dr did say that as long as I have clean hands when I touch things and don't get close to the students, they won't get it. I plan to take some antibacterial wipes to wipe things down and I am an elbow cougher/sneezer (the correct way to cover your mouth and not spread germs! Teach your kids to cover with the elbow!)...haven't really done either yet anyway. Mainly it is the 3 hours of talking with a throat the dr referred to as looking like chopped up, raw meat. I literally had a scab from my throat being so raw. Damn, responsibility! Also, this class (required) is the only class where general Ed majors learn about disabilities and after ol' singinggirl-what's her name's comments on the other post, I am reminded how desperately this kind of information/knowledge needs to be shared!!
Send me good vibes, please! Tomorrow is a day on the couch for me and JA....just got to make it through this class tonight.

My H and I ride together since our commute is so long and we work in the same office park. Today Ingrid got the boot from daycare with Pink Eye, so my H had to pick me and her up, drive all the way home to take her to Dr. and stay home with her while I drove all the way back to work. That happened during my lunch break, and I of course had to pee for 90% of the nearly 2 hour trip in the car. So I came back about to burst and starving. Scarfed down my lunch while I worked this afternoon, and now instead of being about 20 or 30 minutes from home, I am still at my desk working to make up the time.
Considering we have shared the commute for almost 2 years now, the fact that this is the first time we've had to work out a solution to a kid getting bounced from daycare isn't too bad. But still. PITA!
I had my annual gyno visit and Pap smear today. We had to wait juuuust long enough to be sure both kids were crying when the doctor came in. And DH is over the worst of his flu and onto the "I'm just sick enough to still be quarantined and not be able to help with anything" but "feeling good enough to work on stuff and watch movies all day in the bedroom alone" stage.
Awe, good luck tonight mrsrek10! I have had strep too many times to count in my lifetime, and it is no walk in the park. I do not wish it upon anyone, especially not someone who has to talk for a few hours
Did the doc give you anything to help the pain for tonight, since they know you're teaching? One time the doc gave me the numbing syrup that you mix with water and gargle (I forget the name tastes nasty, but helps) because my throat looked so horrible. He said it was the worst case he had seen, and I went in right away too!

She gave me some shots in the butt plus a B12 shot to try to help me make it through tonight. We went in right away too. Strep can get you fast! Thanks for the good wishes!
Oh, another wine, that Bitch Flo showed up last night. I swear she tries to pick the worst times to be random,...vacation, sick, childless night...such a bitch.
Edited: I got autocorrected to wine instead of whine. This place knows what I need! Too bad that is frowned upon whole teaching. Sigh.

My whine is that DH gets to be snowed in at a 4-day pastor conference training with some of his buddies, and I get to be snowed in alone with both kids. I neeeeveeeeeer get to have fuuuuuuuun
Emmett right now is throwing a tantrum because I can't refill his juice box. I can get him more juice, but we are out of the boxes. He does not want it in any other vessel.

I am just whining. I had the flu and was out last week, completely. I was so sick. Now Tyler is sick. He tested negative for influenza, thank God, but that means he has something different from me, and I can see my husband or myself coming down with it and having another weekend of being sick. Yuck! I just want to get better. I don't mind winter, but I hate the sickness. Plus, since T has asthma, I am so paranoid and barely sleep at all when he is sick because I am terrified he will stop breathing or something. Where is Spring?!?!
Win: I survived teaching my 3 hour class. Tonight the content was the introduction to the disabilities covered by law and a general overview of everything. I give background on the past discriminatory attitudes people with disabilities faced, along with their families. I also talked about how advocacy and education are the tools to change discriminatory beliefs/attitudes. I talked about how even now people can say or think things that blow my mind but that represent a problem with our society if we let it continue....I used ol'singinggirl's attitudes from that other posts as great examples of misinformation and ignorance in action. So, good things came from her raising my BP because I used her words to at least give 25 undergrad, future general educators a real life example of some people's attitude that children with disabilities and their families face...and the reasonings why that is an awful way to think and is so wrong. It made a big impression and led to great discussion.
