Thank you ampaints ❤️ I just saw this I when was updating my original post.
We got great news this morning! The baby is perfect (no genetic abnormalities, great HR, and my due date was moved up a week). The placenta also looked good. There were no cysts or placenta previa. What my OB thought was a cyst on the placenta wasn't a cyst, it is just a random pool of blood. And the blood pool is over the cervix, not the placenta (the placenta is healthy and higher up on the uterine wall). The blood pool will either get absorbed by my body or will slowly leak out.
I do have to get weekly progesterone shots, starting at 16 weeks, but this is primarily precautionary. My son was technically preterm at 36 weeks and 6 days, coupled with the bleeding, MFM just wants to be extra careful. I am on pelvic rest and a heavy lifting restriction, but otherwise they said they'll just check on the blood pool at my A/S at 18 weeks.
DH and I are so relieved!!!! Thank you SO MUCH for all the T&Ps, you ladies are the greatest ❤️
