Thanks for posting this. I was not notified even though we registered the car seat. Not very happy. Luckily, ours did not have the defect even though it's on the recall list.

I have run into this once with Britax. My seat was registered, and there was a recall and I wasn't notified (I noticed as soon as it was posted on their FB web page though). A few days went by (because I totally spaced it), and then I remembered and called them for the replacement parts. They told me that because I was registered, they had already mailed my replacement parts. So I didn't get a email or anything, but they had already shipped out the pieces I needed. Sure enough, the parts were at my door the following day.
If your's was not affected, that is probably why they didn't notify you.....when they have people who ARE affected that they have to already get word to and any parts to.

Omg did anybody actually read about the recall? My car seat WAS on the recall list. Not all car seats recalled would have issues . Mine luckily didn't have the defect. I was simply thanking the poster. Lol The end.

I got the email. Mine is part of this recall. They are sending me a tube of lube (man, that phrase used to mean something very different in my life). It is a one time application to the button. As far as recalls go, it seems NBD. But then I'm a little crazy about checking the straps 5 times anyway.
There was one time a few weeks ago I got DS out of his seat and the straps were loose. I was like WTF how did I forget that? I felt like a horrible mother. Now I'm wondering if maybe it was because of this. I always give an extra tug after I tighten it, but I usually pull from the bottom to be sure there's no more slack at the legs. So I might not have noticed if it wasn't secure at the shoulders.
