Just had an anxiety filled experience

We used to do pet sitting. Well today I was filling in for my parents who were supposed to be pet sitters. I spent the day at their house watching a random dog. About an hour ago my 6 year old opened the front door and what can only be known as the fastest Chihuahua ever bolted out the door. I ran after it for about a mile. Finally it stopped to go to the bathroom and I was able to grab it's collar. this does not help my anxiety problems! one more hour and the dog will be going home and so will I! Good news though I got my exercise in for the week. Ha

My dog bolted out of my house a few years ago when we lived next to a very busy rode. My terrified scream made her stop in her tracks.

I guess I wasn't screaming loud enough. This dog was very excited to be free!

That is a really terrible feeling :S we had the worst-case scenario version of this happen a couple weeks ago and so I totally understand how awful and anxiety filled that moment can be.
