The weaning discussion reminded me. How well are your LO's drinking out of sippy cups? We give DS a sippy cup of water. He gets really excited about it and loves to suck/chew on the spout, but spits out 90% of the water. I'd prefer to introduce WCM in a cup vs a bottle, but am not sure how much he would actually swallow from a cup.
DD does well with a sippy most of the time but still does the spitting thing occasionally. We only give her water so far but I'm with you on wanting to do the WCM from a cup rather than a bottle.
Hey Ladies! I am back! That trip felt like an eternity, even though it was only 2 days.I got home late last night and took all of the wake ups with DD - she was up twice and had peed through her diaper at 1AM so full outfit change was in order. I went back to bed after MIL left and slept from 7:30-10AM it was great. I could have slept until noon I am sure, but I have a meeting at 11 and that would be bad.
Tomorrow I have a golf outing at work with some new colleagues and I am pretty excited about it!
ajh1230, - I looked up that doughnut place and it is literally less than 20 minutes from my office in IL!! I may have to stop there!!
kellrr, I think like 7 notches won the bet. I was not one :/
sweetsurprise, You look fantastic! Glad you had fun!
saraml13, DD Does great with the sippy cup and not so great with the ones with the straw. She is able to drink a good amount of water at times.
We've tried several kinds of sippy cups. He doesn't understand the straw ones. He can get water out of both the hard and soft spouts and does the spitting of water with both. Maybe he'll be more interested in swallowing something other than water. With water, it's like he just wants to play with it.
DS2 loves to steal DS1's sippy cup - it's kinda funny to watch. As soon as DS1 leaves his sippy cup unattended, DS2 goes after it. Pretty sure that DS2 has had WCM as a result. He does decently with a hard spout sippy but I think it's because it's cold and he like the feel of it on his gums.

DS does best with the straw ones and likes the kind you have to bite (ours is by munchkin) so-so. He seems to prefer the straw ones in part because they have handles and are easier to hold. We have one with a straw and no handles and he doesn't really like it. He just "got" the straw thing about 2 weeks ago and now he drinks water at every meal, plus juice (prune) in the morning.

We haven't tried any sippy cups yet. We went through like 12 different sippy cups with Buddy Boy, and he ended up only liking real straws. I'm not willing to keep trying different cups with Stinker yet. I'm going to steal straws from McDonald's and give that a shot first.

Has anyone used Care.com? I am thinking about signing up. Found out the nanny maybe giving us her notice and I need to kick it up a notch and find daycare or other nanny to come to the house!

You should introduce the shot glass.
No joke, I gave DD her first taste of WCM out of this shot glass. It seemed appropriate because it is tiny and plastic. She liked it because it lights up when there's liquid in it lol
Eta: to add a picture of said shot glass. I didn't actually use the one sweetsurprise posted haha but that would have been funny!

If I remember correctly victoria is a care.com caregiver. I know she hasn't been here in forever but maybe if I tag her she will see it and come visit and share some wisdom with you.

Been passing out love tits today but dont have much to add.
DD does really well with a two handled soft spout sippy cup. She can do it herself. But she wont drink anything other than water in it. But then my kid has never taken a bottle either. Im dreading weaning but want to do it so bad. Im kind of done with nursing.
