We are headed to the Packer game tonight with BIL and SIL i have been highly annoyed with her shit the last couple of days. So glad there will be booze. Now I just have to keep a muzzle on and I will be in good shape today. I have no interest in hearing about my spoiled ass SIL today.

That sounds fun-ish. My one SIL is ridiculous, and occasionally obnoxious, but not spoiled. Try to sit away from her, and when she says stupid stuff, say "what?' I couldn't hear you over the noise! I really want to watch this play: hang on." Then change the subject when the play is over.

I am really just looking forward to beer. How sad is that! We have a 2 hour car ride to the game so that should be fun. I will sneak booze in my soda bottle. Whiskey and coke!
staryb that sucks. I think jellykat2 has a good idea about asking for a different unit. I used to do landlord tenant law, and you are within your rights to ask for discounted rent for the portion of the house you can't use or to just move out, but I know moving doesn't help you. I could help you write a letter, though, that might light a fire under their ass.

Today we are hitting the YMCA for cardio, then swimming in their new pool. We also have our huge grocery shopping trip and an IKEA stop on the roster.
Tomorrow we are driving to Colorado Springs for a Kidney Foundation 5k in honor of my niece who is only 21 and has only 15% kidney function. A busy weekend, but I think it will be a good one.
I'm here. Sitting at work in a zombie daze a chugging my coffee to make up for the many hours of sleep that I didn't get last night. I'm really starting to worry that we will have to move after all. Maintenance is really half assing our damp wall/mold problem and now the shitty dehumidifier they gave us is leaking. If we do move it will really mess with our savings plan and the fact that we just set up daycare based on where we are living. But really we may not have a choice, like I don't think the mold is that dangerous right now but who knows what we'll be looking at in thew next year or so if they don't fix it properly. I don't know if it's worth risking with our kid there, you know.
Ugh, I can't wait to leave work today so DH and I can finally discuss all of this and figure things out.
Ugh. I'm sorry. Do you think you could ask to move to a different unit?
Unfortunately no. We're in one of I think three of the only 2 bedroom units in the whole building so there's nothing big enough available. If we end up having to move we'll be sure to make the most of it and find something better than we have now though. This might be a blessing in disguise, who knows?

Thanks, I'll let you know if I need your expertise on that. In the meantime I'm wondering if this is cause to break our lease or not. If not it's no big deal, it's up Ina few months anyway but under the circumstances, if we do move, id rather do it sooner than later.
I think I need to join a new dietbet. Not that I was super disciplined while doing it, but I at least maintained some self control. The past couple of days I've been eating everything in sight. I've had at least two bagels a day, just as snacks - as well as consuming an entire can of redi whip and box of chocolates. I'm gonna gain the weight I lost back really quick if I keep it up. But I'm so hangry!
Maybe labor is imminent?
I felt the same way, I was more aware of what I was eating even though I didnt stand a chance of winning

What about requesting follow up mold tests in a month and then like three months. Is that within tenant rights?

The problem isn't really the mold though, it's that there is most definitely a leak in the wall and maintenance is claiming it's all dry in there without actually opening the wall up. They just checked out the access panel in the hall. But there has to be a leak, the paint is bubbling and the floor is damp. So damp that a mushroom legit sprung up from the carpet! It's a real mess, bordering on inhabitable if it's not fixed soon. The mold is just an unpleasant side effect. So even if they get rid of the mold it will be back unless the fix the leak. I really don't know what they're thinking letting it go like this. The longer they wait the more costly the repair will be, it's pretty stupid on their part.

That's ridiculous that they aren't fixing it right. I would think it's just going to cost them more in the long run by doing what they are doing. I'm sorry. That's really frustrating and something you shouldn't even have to worry about when you are renting.
Good morning ladies! We were without power for about 5 hours this morning so I'm behind on my coffee consumption. Also trying to explain to a 4 year old why he can't watch cartoons isn't fun. It's extremely rainy and windy today which is a good thing. I'm not sure what we are going to do today. BF has his fantasy draft this evening so I'll be home with the boys by myself for a little bit.
