I just need to measure from the top of the stair to the bottom of the railing. BF wants a taller baby gate for the stairs since he's tall and the one we have is only 29". I'm trying to figure out what will fit.
I'm baking chocolate chip cookies. I was inspired by jellykat2's trip to the fair. Also, I "need" them for my meeting tonight because it's my turn to bring snacks. Oh, and to use up stuff in our pantry so we don't have to move it. It was going a lot more smoothly while DS was still napping. Silly Kellrr.
Now I want to bake something! Which, seriously, is not like me. I love cooking but baking I stink at. Maybe I'll just pick up some cookie dough today lol or better yet that box of brownie mix I said I needed to get the other day. DH will be so excited!
Looks like she'll almost definitely be getting some formula then. Oh well. Not that there's anything wrong with formula, we were just so close to hitting my one year EBF goal so it's kind of disappointing.
Maybe dd won't eat as much as M but I would plan for that JIC. I totally feel you on the emotions of switching to formula. We are soooo close. But, if it makes you feel better, DS likes both equally. We just had one rough day.
I know she'll be fine. She chugged an ounce of formula last week at my friend's house and asked for more. She does seem to take less milk lately, DH said she only had around 9 oz on Saturday while I was at work, but you're right, I shouldn't count on that being the norm. I think I think I'll just send 4 bottles/day until we run too low to keep up and then just give them the ok to give her formula. At least I'm fortunate enough not to have to buy any myself unless we start supplementing at home too. We'll see.
OK jellykat2 you are seriously inspiring me to possibly plan an impromptu trip to the county fair in my old college town. I wonder if we could make a weekend of it...hmmm...yep, now I totally want to do this. Off I go to check hotel rates!
Anyone else's SO drive them nuts with the way they do the dishes? BF doesn't was them and just sticks them in the dishwasher so then they never fully clean because our dishwasher sucks.

applegrape oh man.. makes me so glad I only have boys!!! And sorry for your traffic headache. One of the things I hate the most about living here. I25 can suck it!! Sorry @raesofsunshine! I hope it works out and she can get financing. Also, poptarts are my go to lazy meal of choice. So bad, yet so good! kellrr I hate paying for something I can do myself, but in that case it may be worth it to look into a groupon or living social deal for a painter. staryb, I need that pillow. saraml13 that is scary! A put a dime in his mouth, it was on our headboard. I have no idea why.. we never put change up there. I saw it go in, thankfully. ssfc2014 It's not the way he does the dishes, it's how he loads the dishwasher/puts them away. It's like he's trying to make me crazy. He loads the top rack as heavy as he possibly can, but put things in places that make no sense. Then, when he puts them away it's like he hasn't lived here for six years and forgot where we keep the plates, bowls, sippy cup lids, etc.
So I made the mistake of buying the tommy tippee diaper bin that uses the expensive refill sheets of plastic to "enclose" each diaper to contain smell. It doesn't work for shit. That damn thing sucks and all it does it make the smell so overwhelming you could literally puke when it's opened. Do any of you lady's have a diaper pail that does a good job or you really like?

maggie6424 I have the Decor Plus. We cloth diaper now, but from NB to 3 months I used the disposable function and liked it. It was $50 on Amazon. ETA: I love it for CD. We wash every other day.
sabby2, - Just a note on the whole milk, our Pedi said it was ok to start whole milk at like 11.5 months if we wanted/needed too. You are so close, I couldn't see that being a huge issue. It would be worth asking the pedi
My pedi said 11 months for WCM, which would be tomorrow for DS. I gave him some WCM this weekend. I am doing small amounts in a sippy cup vs mixing in with BM in a bottle. I want to get DS used to drinking it cold from a cup so we don't have to do another transition.
DS did the same thing with milk as he does with water where he acts all excited about it, but lets a lot of it dribble out of his mouth. He probably only swallowed 1.5-2 oz each day (Sat and Sun). No negative reaction from what I've seen.
I've heard some people say that at this point you should just send whatever you can pump to daycare and let LO make up the difference with solids and eventually WCM. I'm too chicken to do that because I don't want DS to wake up more at night. So far I've had enough of a stash that I've been able to make up the difference.
Re: dishes. DH drives me nuts the way he loads the dishwasher. He has no system so he will end up alternating plates and bowls, which is such an inefficient use of space. Also he hates hand washing anything, so EVERYTHING goes in the dishwasher. Even if it's a hug pot that was only used to boil pasta and now takes up half the space, he will put it in the dishwasher.

This is exactly why I (mostly) only load the dishwasher. I cant stand for my system to be messed up. The few times hes done it though and its not "right" I try not to say anything. The one time I said something about how he does laundry, he stopped doing it for awhile. He washed the majority of the laundry so I learned my lesson. Lol

Hey, ladies I saw some tags from some other posts. I'm lurking! I started school last week and I'm working three 10s and I'm exhausted. I do all my homework at work and after DS is in bed. No me time at all. I can't catch up anywhere anymore. Hope everything is awesome for all of you guys!

Hii! Sounds like you have your hands full. Hope Q is doing well too.
Can we talk about toy boxes for a minute? Do any of you have any sort of toy holding contraption that you love? I'm thinking about getting K some sort of toy box for her birthday to hold her ever growing mass of toys.

Right now we just use a Rubbermaid container but when A gets older I have a toy chest my grandpas made when I was a kid. It has two chests each one has its own lid. It also serves as a bench because the back is tall. There are hooks to keep the chest doors open so she can't pinch her fingers opening and closing it.

Sorry that link is massive. Its the Step 2 2-in1 toy box and art lid. I like it because its lid is removeable, its the perfect height-even DD2 can dig around in there. It is bigger than I would have liked but we have a small house so Thats probably the only reason it bugs me. We have a tan colored one.
