Can we talk about toy boxes for a minute? Do any of you have any sort of toy holding contraption that you love? I'm thinking about getting K some sort of toy box for her birthday to hold her ever growing mass of toys.
Sorry that link is massive. Its the Step 2 2-in1 toy box and art lid. I like it because its lid is removeable, its the perfect height-even DD2 can dig around in there. It is bigger than I would have liked but we have a small house so Thats probably the only reason it bugs me. We have a tan colored one.

Re dishes: it's me that DH gets annoyed with in how I load dishwasher. His dad is psycho about how to load the dishwasher so it rubbed off on him.
Re toy chest: right now I have these hamper like toy bins I got from Home Goods and various baskets. I figure I'll wait and see how many toys she gets at first bday party to determine the next step.
Hi ladies..I've been handing out love tits and mentally responding. I work a 5 day week and I don't know how I'll survive haha. Luckily it's broken up between the two places. And I'm actually starting to the new place more..patients are nicer and there is no drama. My old place you feel the tension immediately.
I just gave my kid a bunch of new finger foods and she loved them all. Makes me feel slightly less anxious about what to send to daycare for lunch. I also roasted butternut squash for the first time because she loves the purée and has really enjoyed it at FIL's a couple of times now. Go figure though, she was too full to eat any by the time it was done but now I'm eating it with dinner and it's delicious. Super easy too! This may become a new favorite food around here

What ginger foods did you try? I feel like we are in a little bit of a rut.

For those that coupon and like organic/non-gmo there's a coupon on coupons.com for kidfresh frozen meals. They have hidden veggies, too. I got chicken meatballs, nuggets, and one other. Alex LOVED the meatballs. It was a quick easy meal for him. And peas of course. He cannot get enough peas.

Kasey is driving me crazy with his constant want to be in one spot. He gets there and then he can't figure out how to get out so he screams. I move him and he goes right back even after I try to redirect him.

We did blueberries, bit size pieces of cut up string cheese and I made pinwheels. For the pinwheels I used cream cheese mixed with some Italian dressing mix (I used good seasons, just a little bit of the dry mix) diced tomatoes and cucumbers. They were a little messy but DD loved them.

We used to have that problem with the coffee table. DD would crawl under it at want to sit up but there wasn't enough room so she'd get upset. Then she couldn't figure out how to get out from under it so she'd cry until we came to the rescue. But then of course she was back under there a few minutes later. Goofy kids haha

I have the high chair sitting on the ground next to an end table. He climbs up into it to play with something on the table or just to stare at whoever is sitting in the chair next to it. Then he gets frustrated because he can't get out of it.

K loves blueberries and string cheese. Pinwheels are a good idea.

Introducing new foods is so much fun!! Also butternut squash - YUM!!!!
jeniece47, have you tried pasta at all? DD does really well with Penne and sauce. I have to admit we have done more fruits and veggies than anything, but try to introduce new things off of our plates as long as it is not too spicy.

Thank you! That one is awesome!
We have this one (in a non pink version lol). It is a nice toy box

K loves pasta. Pasta and cheese. She also like most fruit and veggie pouches if she can suck on them.
She doesn't seem to like bread anymore or really anything that isn't cheese or pasta. I'm worried because she seems to be self weaning off formula that she isn't getting proper nutrients.

Our little guy goes nuts for pasta too. We had this pasta with eggplant tonight and he slurped it down. Unfortunately our toddler is not the same way
applegrape oh man.. makes me so glad I only have boys!!! And sorry for your traffic headache. One of the things I hate the most about living here. I25 can suck it!! Sorry @raesofsunshine! I hope it works out and she can get financing. Also, poptarts are my go to lazy meal of choice. So bad, yet so good! kellrr I hate paying for something I can do myself, but in that case it may be worth it to look into a groupon or living social deal for a painter. staryb, I need that pillow. saraml13 that is scary! A put a dime in his mouth, it was on our headboard. I have no idea why.. we never put change up there. I saw it go in, thankfully. ssfc2014 It's not the way he does the dishes, it's how he loads the dishwasher/puts them away. It's like he's trying to make me crazy. He loads the top rack as heavy as he possibly can, but put things in places that make no sense. Then, when he puts them away it's like he hasn't lived here for six years and forgot where we keep the plates, bowls, sippy cup lids, etc.
So I made the mistake of buying the tommy tippee diaper bin that uses the expensive refill sheets of plastic to "enclose" each diaper to contain smell. It doesn't work for shit. That damn thing sucks and all it does it make the smell so overwhelming you could literally puke when it's opened. Do any of you lady's have a diaper pail that does a good job or you really like?
We have 2 diaper genies and they do the job. We never have an odor and we have 2 in diapers.

You guys are awesome moms. I have Stinker a peanut butter cup. No shame here.

We try to introduce off our plates too, and at first I was weary to give anything too spicy too. But my pedi said to give everything a go - even spicy, because you never know what they might like. So I let dd have some taco meat that I thought had some good kick and she loved it.
Hey ladies! Today was a fun day at the fair. I am fat. And still continue to work on the tub of cookies.
Re breast milk and formula and daycare. I've started giving dd a little formula. I won't have enough BM frozen to get us through to the one year mark either. I'm hoping to send a mix of BM and formula to daycare - and only sending as much BM as I know dd will drink for sure, so we don't waste any. It does suck, solidarity on that. I was stressing a lot about it, but finally was able to relax a little and not worry so much. She'll still get to nurse when she's home. And it will be okay. Also, giving formula at the fair today was way easier. Hugs mommas.
Re dishes. DH is the dish king in our house. He's 'taught me' the proper way to do them. I still do them how I want when he's not around, but if he's watching its not worth the fight. Luckily he does them as much or more than me.
Re toy boxes. Right now we have the 3 sprouts bins. They fit into our bookshelf cubbies and dd is able to pull them out on her own. My mom also bought her a 3 tier organizer like the one maggie6424 posted that we'll use eventually.
Re mobility - watching a mobile baby is seriously hard work. And exhausting. She constantly gets into things if I blink too long.
