I am up preparing for the work day. Barely had any rest. I kept waking up to check on DS every hour since 1am. He was grunting alot. Hopefully today will go by quickly. I am training a group of new employees to take over parts of my old project because I will be adding another new one.
Oops! I started this at the same time and for some reason I cannot change the thread title.
Hope work goes by quickly for you!
I have no idea what is going on with this snow storm. It's nuts! There is so much drifting... We have a 3 ft drift at our back door but the front walkway is totally clear.
My stomach is rumbling so loudly every time I wake up to feed my baby. Somehow she manages to fall back asleep after eating, despite the symphony happening right underneath her. Then I just give up and go back to sleep myself. I wonder how old she'll be when I don't delay my eating for her sake?
LO has successfully transitioned me to work sleep hours. Just over a week ago LO went from 3-4 hour stretches of sleep through out the night 7.5-8 hours. This means she wakes up between 5:15-5:45. Thankfully this means I'm ready for next week when we go back to work. I'm getting dressed and LO dressed everyday with time to spare before we need to leave. If this continues I will be one happy mom.

Congrats! How old is your LO? My dd sleeps 5.5 hrs and then gets up once at 4ish just in time for me to get ready to go (I work far so I have to leave at 5:45), again at 5:30/6 just in time for her daddy to give her a bottle before leaving, and then for good at 8/8:15 while my dad is here to watch her so timing is great! When they first start sleeping all the way through, though, is it true that the middle feedings are the first to get cut...?

DD is 11 weeks today. She just randomly started this at 9.5 weeks. She litterally went on a Thursday night waking up 1 in the middle of the night to sleeping 7.5 hours on Friday night. She has done it since, it was amazing. Yes to the middle of the night was the first cutout for us, now she eats between 9 and 9:30 and then is out until she wakes up in the morning. If she eats earlier and falls asleep she gets up earlier. One night she fell asleep around 8:15 and woke up at 4 and was up then for the morning. So now when she goes down we go to bed.

Oh cool this sound like the trajectory dd is on! Currently she's 8w and sleeps 9-3 or 10-4, then gets up again to eat at 5:30 or 6:30. She also goes right back down again to sleep til 8ish, but I guess that could be considered a nap since 5:30 is "morning" lol so if she could just cut out that 3-4am feeding and sleep right through to 5:30ish, even with a "nap" after, that'd be awesome. Fingers crossed haha

I'd just love my LO to start his 10 hour nights before midnight. He's sleeping 10+ hours, I'm sleeping like 5 or 6 with H getting up and all. Oh, and our headboard has worked it's way loose so any time H or I moved last night it banged on the wall. I didn't rest well with that going on, and I can't help think what the neighbors thought.
M has officially found his thumb!! He was going to town with it this morning. And here I just bought more binkys because we were losing them.

Gio just found his fingers over the weekend. We thought maybe he was teething since he was chewing on his fingers so much all of a sudden....but I think he is going to be finger sucker like I was. He had his middle 2 fingers in his mouth last night. It helps him calm himself down, but I would rather he kept the binky in so that I could help him stop the habit when it comes time.
I found pants for work and am inlove with these new dress pants. I had gone to my usual places and discovered that thanks to having DD the stores options just didn't work for this new body. I ended up at Khols and now I am so excited that they were such a great fit and its wonderful that their price was so much less then what I used to spend. I now have money left over in my budget for some new dresses.

Lo is going on his 3rd day of not pooping. I swear Dh & I are on a vigilant "poop watch." Lo has also been spitting up more than usual & I keep wondering if it's something I'm eating. He seems happy, but I'd love to return to the days of fewer spit ups & regular poop.
I had a dental appointment yesterday. I drove by myself for the first time since delivery. My mom came over to watch LO while DH was working from home but stuck in an online course.
So after talking to daycare this morning apparently Joseph had more than the 2 blowouts he had with me last night. I guess he was saving it up so he could have a day full of blowouts. It's weird thought because they weren't really full poopy diapers but they still when up and out the back. Oh and I think he's finally starting to growing out of his Newborn cloth. They still fit but are starting to get snug.
I survived my first week back at work! I work this wknd and it'll be interesting as dh will have the baby all day for 3days in a row. Dh has a rude awakening hahahaha! I just feel bad for LO as he's gonna have bad separation anxiety by day3, it was awful 2days in a row, so 3 won't be fun.
ETA: I worked during the week this past week, so my mom and aunt had LO until dh got off work.
It would be hilarious to see DH with the baby for even one day! Anytime he holds her it's all "I can't do that; I'm holding the baby." I don't think anything would get done at all! It makes me remember - did you see that Jay Cutler asked his wife to hurry home when he was left alone with the kids? Hehe.
wicked22 My baby had one of those this morning! I think because she was laying down.
LO is having issues with his 3-6 month size jammies fitting him.....he is too freaking tall for them. His poor little toes are smooshed in the footie part, the part on his crotch is damn near giving him a wedgie. I am debating whether I should pull out the 6-9 month ones and see how bad he swims in them, or just cut the toes out of the 3-6 month ones.....
He isn't even filling out the 3-6 month size width-wise.....but he is so damn tall !!
Pretty sure he needs to officially graduate to size 2 diapers too.....he keeps overflowing the size 1's with his giant poops. I was trying to finish up the size 1's we have opened.....but this morning was his 3rd overflow in 3 days.

Joseph has started a love/hate relationship with his soothie since finding his left hand and arm. He likes to try and stick his whole fist in his mouth and has given himself a hickey on his left arm more than once. Its so cute but like mander82 I would rather him use his binky then his hand/arm so it will be easier to stop when he's older.

tacocat for a second I thought we had more people with hooterrific's avatar that's going to be confusing.....then I realized you just changed your name haha.
wildflower810 the same thing happened to us with the binkies. now he is slowly weaning himself off of them and switching to hish hands, and we had just bought some more. babies!
ninergirl52 who would have thought that so much of our time would be devoting to thinking about and celebrating poop. we're on day 2 right now. hope it happens soon for your LO!
zengal my DH is the same way! if I ask him to do any type of task while he watching Henry, it's such an ordeal and overwhelming. last night we literally had this conversation. I was like, I have kept this house clean, do the laundry, run errands, and in the case of yesterday I had shoveled the driveway 3 times so HE could get into ok....all while taking care of the baby. I ask the man to do one thing for me while I'm at work today and its just mental anguish. what a drama queen sometimes!
mander82 we're about to move to size 3 diapers. He's still in 3-6, but if hes wearing pants it has to be 6mo for his big belly. I've noticed he's still hanging on as far as length. there's only a few that seem to be smooshing his toes. they are getting too big too fast, I do not want to think about packing up more clothes haha![/font]
@ashleymm197 Oh my, your LO is almost ready for size 3 ? Holy smokes! I wonder if I am smashing my LO's junk by putting him in size 1's !!! lol....the size 1's say up to 14 pounds. He was 12 pounds, 11 oz at his 2 month check up on the 16th. The size 2's have a min weight of 12 pounds on them, so maybe I will just say screw the rest of the 1's and make the switch! Too bad they are already opened or I would just exchange them.

One of DH'S friends posted on my photo of LO that there is more to life than my LO. That when he has kids he will delete FB so he doesn't annoy people. DH posted the first pic of him and LO ever today. He never posts anything on fb. I don't get this guy's deal
DS is really long too (94th percentile). We had to switch to 3-6mo sleepers a few weeks ago and now i'm ready to put away the 0-3mo onesies and start using 3-6mo everything. He's been in size 2 diapers since New Years (he was just shy of 15lbs at his checkup yesterday).
DS finally got his 2mo shots yesterday. He was so fussy last night. His cries were so pained that I pretty much cried every time he did. He had a tough time sleeping last night and has been cluster feeding this morning. He also had his biggest blowout ever. He starts daycare tomorrow, I hope he'll be ok by then.

I survived my first day back to work yesterday with minimal texts to my DH, thankfully he's off today as well and can watch Henry again. After that he goes to my moms when both of us are at work.
it went by smoothly. my manager was incredibly nice about me coming back and being flexible with my schedule. she said when she had her first baby, she made it a week before she quit and took off for a year bc she couldn't do it....then she said she probably shouldn't have said that haha. I told her I couldn't work weekends for awhile since DH can't have them off right now since he doesn't have a GM and has to be there all the time now, and this gives my mom weekends off from watching any kids (she watches my 2yr old nieces 40hrs a week, we're hoping to only give her Henry 3 days a week so not to burden her, she still has my 3 younger siblings to take care of, and my sister and niece also live there as well). My manager even told me I could go home whenever I wanted if it was slow too.
even though I'm sad to be at work, it's nice that they are being flexible with me.
anyone else get tired of giving the baby born this day/time/weight/here's 20 pictures? Don't get me wrong, I like to show off pictures of him and his little fat face, but I wanted to send an email with it all so I could walk into a room without saying the same spiel to each individual in there. my coworker said I should wear a shirt with his face on it haha!
Woke up and we still have power! DH let me sleep in till 11 am! Yay for having him stuck home.
I also lol at all the sleep talk- for the most part he sleeps a 3 or 4 hour stretch and then every two hours after that. ?
Glad to see there are a couple giant babies, Liam is straight up in 6-9 month clothes. He is super tall. I was going to stock up on 6 month clothes but I think I'll just start getting some 9 month sizes. Carters fits him best because he is so tall, he fills it out before I move to the next size, but it's definitely his length that makes me go up the next size. I think we are going to move to size 3 diapers too. I had to change him after his 4 hour stretch because he peed right through everything

LOL I'm sure your guy is ok. we have a little fatty, he was 15lbs 8oz at his two month appt, he's 12w now so I'm sure we're up to 16lbs.....

Fuck that guy.
I'm sorry, I do not care how many photo's I post of my beautiful son, I love him and I'm excited to be his mom. Plus he is my first, so I'm extra over the moon about being a mom (I know I'm probably that mom, I try to limit it to a 1 or 2 a week haha) If people don't want to see pictures, then don't pause to look at them, just like anything you don't want to see on FB. And, you can "unfollow" people so you don't see their posts without actually defriending them if you're tired of certain posts--I usually do this with extreme political ones that are just over the top.
What a rude thing to post on a picture of your LO!
