Re: clothes. We have 90% Carters, 5% Old Navy, 4% mix of Circo/Osh Kosh/Genuine Baby, then like 1% fancier stuff. I do buy nice things for special occasions, which is ridiculous logic because those are almost certainly only worn once.
I understand the nicer clothes probably last longer, but I haven't gotten to the point of feeling the cost is warranted yet. All of Haden's Carter's clothes are in good shape and Hunter will wear them. Haden is just now (well, since late Nov./Dec.) in 12-month and 12-18 month sizes, which he's finally spending some real time in. I think he wore his 9-month clothes for about 10 minutes, so I'm glad I didn't spend much on them. Hunter will look cute in them for about 10 minutes too, I'm guessing. Then they'll be sold or donated.
I do love to peruse Baby Gap, though. Maybe I'll buy him something from the sale rack at some point.
Baby gap had half off sale when I was there Sunday. My in- laws always get DS a few pairs of jeans, wovens and playtime favorites plain shirts for his bday from baby gap, which I love because jeans are expensive! Everyone around where I live (the south) puts their girls in Matilda Jane- those outfits cost a ton, even around $30+ second hand...
wamom, my 30/31 week checkup was a growth scan, and will have another at 35 weeks. They also gave me and hubby the Tdap..other than that just the usual. I think I had my first NST then, but only because I have trouble identifying which baby is moving at any given time..
Just got back from the doctor. DD has fluid behind her left ear, and infection in the right (the one she was complaining about this morning), and pharyngitis. They said she might also have strep (again, fourth time this season), but decided not to torture her with a throat culture, because they would treat her the same either way. Poor baby was so pathetic at the doctor's office. She just laid in my lamp whimpering. She's doing a little better right now, but I'm sure she'll be back to feeling crumby soon. She's also really upset about not getting to go to school for two days. Funny girl. She absolutely loves school and is so upset to not be going.
H has decided he wants to work on the hot water heater. Hopefully this is not a week long project. I'll give him today (and maybe tomorrow), but then I need that shit working! I'm not washing dishes in my bathtub!
Ugh!! Sorry she's so sick. Hope the antibiotics (assuming that's what you got?) work quickly and she begins to feel better. I'm sure we'll be on amox by the end of the day too.
BOO WINTER
Yep, Amoxicillin this time. Cefdinir (sp?) last time. He wants to keep switching it up so she doesn't develop a resistance. I'm hoping this monthly sore thoat/strep thing is just because it's her first year in school (she went to a small in home daycare) and she's just still developing immunities to all the crap out there. My sister had to have her tonsils out as a kid, because she always had throat problems. I'm not sure when you start talking about that with the doc or it even becomes a concern.

Good to know. I have my next growth scan next week and I got my Tdap last appointment. What position are your boys in? If I feel movement really low I assume baby a and anything in my ribs baby b. The middle is hard to always tell though.
I go back and forth between expensive clothes and cheaper stuff. I also found that our kid to kid store has a ton of boys gymboree for a fraction of the price so I got him some good pieces already. Gymboree, Hanna Andersson and Naartjie were my go to when the girls were little and I've pass a ton of it down to my 2 year old niece. Even items that were purchased back in 2005-2006 still look new and the outfits are so cute.
rquinlin I hope your daughter feels better soon! Also, I hope your H manages to fix your hot water heater. We need a new one (it's not leaking, YET) and H thought about doing it himself, but after all of our plumbing issues, I told him there was no way, in hell, he was attempting that.
LO has had the hiccups ALL MORNING. As soon as I woke up this morning that was the first thing I felt. I woke my grumpy H up and had him put his hand on my belly because hiccups! I still think they are the cutest thing ever.
I'll be back once I've gotten through all 4-5 pages.
The dog got to play in the snow today so he is exhausted. I make a (very lazy) effort to cover the couch since he sheds like crazy. This is how he chooses to nap. Weirdo.

rquinlin that's smart to alternate antibiotics. I had my tonsils removed when I was 14 or 15 after having strep off and on for a year- it's been so much better since. Hopefully she is feeling better soon! And that hot water heater is fixed quickly.
DD is a total cranky pants today. I feel terrible for her because I've been way less fun this pregnancy for her, and in winter she is so stir crazy anyway. DH just left to run a quick errand and I wish he'd took her just to let her get out of the house, but I think later today I'll let her try the water colors she got for Xmas.
Last night H and I completed our Infant CPR class. That's three baby classes down, one more to go. All I have left is my breastfeeding class, which I'll go to by myself. It's only an hour and a half class on a weekday during lunch. I figured H doesn't need to be there. Watch me be the only one there without my H.
My husband went with me to our breastfeeding class and he thought he would look silly and be the only one there but there were 3-4 other SO's that showed up. He actually paid attention and learned some good info and I think it will help him be more supportive and understanding if I'm struggling. I'm super glad that he came with me.
My H went too! Originally I told him he didn't have to go, but then the class leader sent around a note saying husbands should attend, so he went. It was just a good learning experience for him and he took it really seriously! Hoping maybe he can remember some of the tip/tricks, etc if I'm exhausted and forget.
saltyfins I'm glad it made you smile. We all have days. I hate when strangers ask me about my pregnancy. I just give the shortest answers possible. So far random strangers think this is my first, or second, that it is only 1 baby, that I am due in two weeks ect... It's none of their business.
Also people who get mad when I don't give them more elaborate details about "how it's going". Really you want to know about my hemorrhoids? Really? Fuck off.

I'm so sorry for the sick kiddos. I'm so fucking tired of this winter and every sniffle turning into something.
My random (and complaint) is that yesterday was my first dizzy spell of the pregnancy. I was out last week because of the flu, and not even back in the office a day and I'm needing someone to get me a coke. I was so embarrassed. I hate feeling so pathetic and fragile. I have really easy pregnancies until 3rd trimester where everything just goes to shit.
Can I just get through the next 5 weeks without any other bullshit? COME ON!

Ok, now I'm thinking maybe I should sign up my H for the class, too. I didn't realize there could be information that is beneficial for him as well. That is good to know.
saltyfins I had a teeth cleaning about a month or so ago. They told me there's some bacteria pregnant women are prone to that messes up our gums. That's one of the multiple reasons we're supposed to be so vigilant about our dental care when KU. I also was told I have gum issues and to brush and floss more often than usual. It should clear up after baby is born, but they didn't want me to do too much damage by neglecting them until then.
mrsh924 - I will remember a fellow accountant! Now I got it!
Thanks for the thoughts about my H's work today. He ended up driving in, and said the roads were bad, but not as bad as when he drove home yesterday. I had him pack an overnight bag and promise me that he will spend the night at the rehab or other lodging on site if the roads are bad again later today.
Most of his colleagues who live within 10 minutes of the job and didn't have to take highways went into work even with the restrictions. It's sad for an employee to be in that position. I totally get medical and public safety personnel - and in our area those people can call for a ride from someone permitted to drive on the road.
I think it was katydid2015 who mentioned the sable/gray keekaroo at giggle.com . If so thank you, I bought it yesterday with free shipping and can't wait for it to get here. I didn't want to have to settle on a color that didn't go with our theme.
pearsforpoops glad she didn't hit anyone else driving like that
frecklesinside thank you, I added those bibs to my registry
AFM I'm having bad insomnia consistantly every night now around 3am and I keep choking on/coughing up stomach acid, because of reflux. Weeee.

Exactly. They said the hormonal changes during pregnancy make us more susceptible to gum issues, and about 40% of pregnant women will have problems.
I should have stayed off Google because it said gum disease can lead to premature birth : (
I've always been really good with brushing, flossing, mouthwash....but I definitely need to step up my game.

I'm not giving mine the option. When I asked the hospital, they mentioned that about 90% of the Husbands come. I relayed the information and let him know that it was important to me that he come so that he is involved in all aspects of our daughters life. I'm hoping that they is able to retain a little information and possibly feel more connected to her this way.

So glad you had a good dental checkup. Yes, Google is scary as hell when dealing with dental issues and pregnancy. I wouldn't wish this dental hell on anyone else!
skrittens That's BS, I can't believe he has to use a vacation day.
I had forgotten all about the night sweats until two nights ago when I woke up drenched in sweat for no real reason. Good luck to those with appointments. I have a shit ton of work to do and I can't put it off anymore but I'll be back later.

Hope everyone's kiddos feel better soon.
Just got back from my appointment. Fluid levels went down. Yay!
Re: clothes. In the beginning, most of DS's clothes were Carter's. Starting around 12 months, most of his clothes are from Old Navy, some are Gap, and some are Children's Place. I feel like you can get pretty good deals if you shop at the right time. Plus DS is a peanut and has spent a good amount of time in each size.
I haven't sold any of his clothes yet, though. I was saving them in case we had another boy. I know this might sound silly, but I'm still reluctant to sell them until I have the baby. What if she is really a he? lol
Where do you ladies resell clothes? At local consignment shops or online?

Is your dog a German Shepherd? My dog is 1/4 German Shepherd and she finds the craziest positions to sleep in. That looks like one of her favorites.
MauiBliss only some folks can work from home. I can work at a location a lot closer to my house if I need so I am lucky in that sense. A lot of employees here cannot.
rquinlin I hope your DD gets well soon. When the kiddies are sick it's the worst.
ladysnowblood I've sold some of DD's things through a local 'baby stuff for sale' group on Facebook and I'm planning to bring other items to a consignment shop nearby. I've never brought anything to consignment so I'm interested to see how that'll work out for me!
racegurl87 we don't know what he is. We adopted him when he was a puppy. The rescue group said they thought he was beagle/chihuahua. I don't think he has any chihuahua in him, but definitely beagle (he howls like one). Lots of people say he looks like a mini German Shepherd so maybe?
