Hi everyone! Stopping by to lurk around, see what's new around here.
Decided I'd AW my new squish!
I had a scheduled induction for Friday January 23rd. I was so nervous about it, and I could have canceled it but decided after talking to my midwife and mfm it was best to go through with it.
We arrived at the birth center at 6:50 am, got checked in, settled in my room and was checked. 3cm 60% still, no change since Mondays midwife appt. We started the Pitocin at 8:30 am, and within minutes started feeling more intense contractions. (I had been contracting the night prior and that morning. ) My midwife came in at 1:05 p.m to check on my progress. Still no change! I was very discouraged. She decided to break my water. We figured I'd go fast. Within a minute or two intense contractions started. I got into the jacuzzi tub and labored a good while. I asked to be checked, only 4 cm! They turned off the Pitocin in hopes to see if my body was laboring on its own. They blew up the birthing tub, and I got in. My contractions nearly stopped. I had to get out to be monitored for 20 min. Before they could start Pitocin again. Probably about 15 min of being monitored I had even more intense contractions. They checked, I was a 6. I started screaming for an epidural. I finally got one placed, and labor was glorious. I started to feel to urge to push, they checked I was ready. I pushed 4 times and out my little man came!
Liam Wyatt was born January 23 at 8:24 Pm
8 lbs 3 oz 21 Inches. He's my biggest baby!
He's such a blessing! We love him so much and he completes us!
Owen is doing so well with him too!
I'll try and attach a picture! If your on the FB group, I shared a occur of him there a few days ago.
