Made a long sleeved onesie with a turkey on it for baby girls first Thanksgiving! I also made a door jammer. Easy crafts while I wait to go to Joanns and get the grey thread I need on top for quilting my chenille quilt!

I'm about 8"x8" into my rainbow 10 stitch blanket. Why can't I just imagine yarn projects and *poof* they're done. I should have more time to knit now that football season is starting.
I made soooo much progress this past week. ... Or not.
In crochet world, I managed SIX whole triple crochet stitches. Now that is some serious progress.
In sewing world, I experimented with trying to reproduce the look of a car seat cushion, and I think I have it figured out (just need to take my sample to compare against the real seat, but the car isn't here, so I was working off of photos and my memory). MH and I also studies photos because we are in disagreement as to what color - well the shade of the color - the seat is. We were trying to get some swatches so we can start looking for the right fabric; we were so much not on the same page over color shade that I don't even think we were in the same book. Lol.
I also sewed up a toy baggie or two. The fabric had been cut forever. I still have three more to whip out that are cut and waiting for sewing; it takes but a couple of minutes to sew, so I don't know why it is so difficult to find the time lately.
I washed up two pieces of fabric - both basic cotton pieces - but left them in the clothes basket too long so they are WRIIIINKLED. Ironing alone barely made a dent, and by the time I found a spray bottle that was water-only, I ran out of time to do anything more with them, so they are hanging out, hopefully becoming slightly less wrinkled. I worked out the design details and calculated the dimensions of the various materials needed for a write-on/wipe-off activity thing for LO - no idea what to call it. Fingers crossed I can get started today on one of the four-ish projects I am prepped and ready to go on (a skirt, a sewing machine apron and two covers, and the activity thing).
Question: I need opinions, please. I want to make a cover for my stand mixer as I no longer have a pantry cupboard that it can go in, so it stays out on the counter. I go back and forth of which would be better: a general-purpose fabric of some sort (just a basic cotton or poly-cotton blend or something) so that it can get thrown in the washer every so often to clean or a vinyl or something similar that could be wiped down every so often. Would you go with washable or wipe-able (<--I know I am making that word up for brevity's sake)? Why?
cam, I'd go with washable. It's not as easy as it sounds to wipe 3-D things, but, it sure is easy to toss a cover in with the towels or whatever.
I got a ton of new fabric this week, I'm making skirts for DD.
That's funny that the washing is the basis of your choice because that is a big part of what I go back and forth on. Throwing it in the laundry is easiest, in theory; the tricky part is remembering to actually do so when I am about to do laundry instead of seeing it right after I finish all the laundry, only to say, 'Oh crap. I have been meaning to wash that the past three times I have done laundry.' Wiping it would be easy in the fact that I could just do it when I am wiping down counters, so I wouldn't have to think about it, but as you said, wiping down involves setting it on the counter and maneuvering it about to get all the sides (not a huge deal most of the time, but if something sticky needs some good scrubbing, it would get annoying in a heartbeat).

I also made a turban style headband and matching leggings. Yay! I also got the thread I need for the top side of the quilt so I can finally start quilting. Figures tomorrow my dad is coming over to help me with new blinds for the nursery (and maybe I can talk him into hanging my curtain rod too!)
