Hello. My name is Megan. This will be jumbled as my thoughts are all over the place right now.
H and I have been TTC #2 for ten months now. Last Wednesday we got a BFP and we were so happy. Then I started spotting on Monday and I went in for betas that day. My HCG and progesterone levels are very low and was told the pregnancy was not viable and that I would miscarry soon. I've started to bleed now. This is my first loss and I'm not sure what to expect or what this will be like. I'm supposed to be 5 weeks 3 days.
*living child mentioned*
I feel so stupid for telling my two year old about the baby. I was just so excited about it. He is still occasionally asking about the baby and it breaks my heart. I feel like I failed him.
I am so sorry. So, so sorry. I can't help with what to expect but I am here with hugs.
*Living child mentioned* My almost two year old son also knew about my pregnancy. He came home one day after hanging out with his cousins and told me there was a baby in his belly. My two nieces love to pretend they are pregnant. I couldn't resist and told him that Mommy had a baby in her belly. Don't beat yourself up about it. You are a wonderful Mom and he is lucky to have you. You did not fail him.
I'm so sorry for what you're going through with telling your DS. I didn't experience that with my losses because my DS is too young to understand, but I do understand the incredible guilt and the feeling of failing your child by having a loss. It's a really emotionally complicated place to be in. singingsea and doodler (and anyone else in this situation) you should join us in the Loss after Living Children board. Thank you. I wish I never told him. I feel like I got his hopes up. He was so excited. He was convinced he was getting a baby sister. Next time I don't think I'm going to say anything until after the 20 week anatomy scan.

I am sorry for your loss, I also have no advice as with both my losses were a bit further along and I had D&Cs. Don't quote me on this but as far as I have read, it will be likely like a heaver AF, with cramps I am sure. I dont know exactly how long you would normally bleed for. I have also read that if you go through a pad a hour you should call your dr. I am sorry I am not too helpful. Imhope others will beable to give you better advice. Plenty of hugs!

Thanks. I started to miscarry last night. It was like a horrible period. I think I passed most of it last night but I'm still bleeding this morning. I have an appointment with my OB today so hopefully I'll learn some more information.

I'm so sorry you're going through this, singingsea. Please don't feel like you failed your son - it's only natural to want to share these things with the people we love the most. ((Hugs))
I'm so so sorry you're going through this. The Advice and Experience sticky at the top might be a good resource. There haven't been a ton of posts on it, but there are still some. Take care.

Thanks ladies. My OB did an ultrasound today and it looks like I passed everything so I don't require a D&C. She also wants to do some blood tests on CD21 of my next cycle for different hormone levels (progesterone etc.)
