This is the weekly check-in for April moms who have experienced loss before this pregnancy. We are sorry you have to be here, but let's get through the next 9 months together.
If this if your first check-in, Welcome! Please share the following in your post:
Loss Background (if you're comfortable)
How far along are you (weeks/fruit):
How are you feeling physically? Emotionally?
Upcoming Appointments or Milestones:
QOTW: Tell us about your weekend! What did you do?
How far along are you (weeks/fruit): 11w6d - a plum as of tomorrow!
How are you feeling physically? Emotionally? Physically still dealing with "morning" sickness and exhaustion. I'm hoping this will end soon as I am nearing 2nd tri! Emotionally I'm feeling great! Very positive.
Upcoming Appointments or Milestones: Holy cow, I can't believe I'm going to be 12 weeks tomorrow!
QOTW: Tell us about your weekend! What did you do? I had a very nice and relaxing weekend up north at my in-laws' cabin. They own hundreds of acres of hunting land, with lots of trails and beautiful sights. DH got a few birds, which our lab did a fantastic job of retrieving.
Loss Background (if you're comfortable) MMC may 29th at 12 weeks
How far along are you (weeks/fruit): 9/ green olive
How are you feeling physically? Emotionally? *warning* I made a post in CAR but I had a horrible week. I started bleeding Wednesday night so I went to the doctor on Thursday and saw the baby is healthy but I had blood clotting around the placenta. Thursday night a clot broke (which I wasn't warned about!) in a horrible way. I have never seen so much blood in my life. Friday morning we went back into the doctor and saw that the blood clotting is now covering 40% of the placenta but I was more relieved to see my green olive still had a heartbeat. I am trending a few days behind in growth but it's been like that since the first us so I'm not worried. I go back on October 1st unless I have more bleeding before then. In that time I hope the clots have either left my body slowly or have absorbed back into my body. In the meantime I'm on rest and I started taking progesterone as well.
Upcoming Appointments or Milestones: October 1st
QOTW: Tell us about your weekend! What did you do? I was on bed rest so I sat on my couch or in my bed for 4 days. The weather was nice so I could have the windows open.

How far along are you (weeks/fruit): 9w3d, olive
How are you feeling physically? Emotionally? I'm trying to maintain. I won't get another ultrasound for another two weeks so I have no idea how baby is doing.
Upcoming Appointments or Milestones: NT scan and prenatal diagnostic blood test on Oct. 6
QOTW: Tell us about your weekend! What did you do?
This weekend was awesome. Saturday, my 2 year old and I went to a festival that had a petting zoo, wagon rides, and she got to paint a sign. I had a funnel cake and felt sick after eating it.
Sunday was my birthday. My family and I went to the zoo and my kids had a blast. We got to feed a giraffe. Then we went to an all you can eat stir fry restaurant. Then came home that night and The Packers won! I couldn't ask for a better birthday.

Loss Background (if you're comfortable): loss in May at 7w4d
How far along are you (weeks/fruit): 12w 3d, plum
How are you feeling physically? Emotionally? Pretty good for both. Headaches and stomach upset are still here but I'm hanging in. I also have another u/s scheduled for Wednesday so I'm pretty pleased about that (especially since my last one was positive).
Upcoming Appointments or Milestones: Wednesday and I'm going to ask to see the screen the whole time!
QOTW: Tell us about your weekend! What did you do? We are still in unpack and get settled mode. I finished my closet so that was good. Unfortunately DS had a bad case of diarrhea and was miserable with diaper rash and upset tummy so momma had a sad weekend overall. Pro tip- save your peri bottle from the hospital and use triple paste diaper ointment. Lifesavers here.
wowcheezits I couldn't make it through the whole game! I fell asleep during the 2nd quarter so DH woke me at halftime and we went home haha! Happy the Packers won, but bummed the 49ers lost though.
@nataliedavid I'm so sorry, that is so terrifying! How long does your doctor want you on progesterone?
I think they just want me on it through first tri. they tolly blood on Friday but I won't get the results back till today so he prescribed it to me bc he said if my levels are fine it won't hurt me but if they are low it will help.

Do you just have to take a pill? I had to start Prometrium at 1DPO to even get pregnant, and have to stay on it through week 14. I'm so glad it's just a pill to swallow, not a suppository or shot like some people!

Loss Background (if you're comfortable) MMC in mar 2015 then a CP in May 2015

How are you feeling physically? Emotionally? I wish the sickness would stop. Emotionally I'm nervous about my first appt on Wednesday but excited to finally see the baby.
Upcoming Appointments or Milestones: Wednesday is my very first appt. I've passed all miscarriage milestones
QOTW: Tell us about your weekend! What did you do? went shopping at a mom consignment sale. I got the baby some sleep gowns. Then laundry and relaxed Sunday.

Yes, it's just a pill 3xs a day. I'm so glad I don't have to do the suppository. Although the pill makes me extremely tired right after taking it. I know normally people do progesterone from the beginning but with all of my bleeding the doctor thought it could help.

Hmm that is interesting. I take just one 200mg pill a day, and I take it at night for that very reason (sleepiness).

Sometimes I wonder if my doctors are just guessing.

Loss Background (if you're comfortable) - 2 miscarriages, DD born Aug 13, 4 miscarriages
How far along are you (weeks/fruit): 8w4d/small strawberry
How are you feeling physically? Emotionally? Physically I feel absolutely fine, which is making me an emotional wreck. All of my symptoms have mostly subsided and it's really got me anxious. I get the odd tenderness in my breasts (mostly nipples) and feel tired still but I'm also battling a chest infection so not sure if I'm actually just tired from that.
Upcoming Appointments or Milestones: have a scan tomorrow, thank goodness. Very nervous about it but would rather know what's going on and obviously hoping all this worry is unfounded. I hate being PGAL!
QOTW: Tell us about your weekend! What did you do? Saturday morning my DD and I had a play date with one of the Mums and Daughters from our Plunket group then baby girl slept for 3 hours so I got some rest. Sunday was family day and we just hung out indoors as it was horrible outside.
Loss Background (if you're comfortable): LC born 11/5/11. MMC at 7 weeks 1/23/15
How far along are you (weeks/fruit): 11 weeks, 6 days, lime!
How are you feeling physically? Emotionally? I am having some sciatic pain in my butt and hips. It's making it tough to sleep soundly. Emotionally I'm ok.
Upcoming Appointments or Milestones: almost out of first tri! Dr appt 9/29.
QOTW: Tell us about your weekend! What did you do? Errands/shopping on Saturday then napped. Church and football yesterday, family dinner last night. Nothing special, but it was nice!

I have a question for everyone- I am not super designy, but I think that I could put together a PGAL badge for A16. Would anyone be interested? Anything you'd like to see (other than a rainbow theme)? Anyone who is more talented than I am want to volunteer their services?
((hugs)) NatalieDavid. Hope your bleeding goes far, far away.
Happy belated birthday, wowcheezits! That festival sounds like fun, sorry the funnel cake made you sick :/
GL on Wednesday, danenikki! Congrats on passing your milestones!
craftcrazymama, I have a chest thing too and it's made it hard to feel pregnant because I just feel so sick. Hopefully that's all it is for you too. GL at your scan tomorrow! Let us know how it goes!
Does using pillows help you find a more comfortable sleeping poition, jmc11511? Sorry you're having pain.

Loss Background (if you're comfortable): MC at 8w this past April and CP in July
How far along are you (weeks/fruit): 10w5d (whaaat), kumquat
How are you feeling physically? Emotionally? Physically not great. I've been really sick this past week (and kind of absent from the boards) with this cold/flu business. It's moved to my chest but I'm finally starting to feel better. Emotionally, I've just been feeling guilty for having zero energy and spending a week on the couch basically, but it's all I could do.
Upcoming Appointments or Milestones: NT scan on Friday!
QOTW: Tell us about your weekend! What did you do? See above. Sprawled on the couch, sadly.

How far along are you (weeks/fruit): I am 13 weeks today, baby is the size of a kiwi or peach depending on which app I look at.
How are you feeling physically? Physically, I'm still sick. All. The. Time. I'm finding that really tough and both emotionally and physically draining. That being said, the throwing up does make me feel really pregnant which calms my PgAL brain. I found out at my midwife appointment last week that I've lost a little bit of weight, I had gained some while trying to conceive but it's still not a nice feeling to be losing weight while pregnant. I was really happy to have an ultrasound to see that baby is doing well and growing.
Emotionally? Like I mentioned above, just a little drained. Now that I'm out of first tri, depending on which book you read, I'm feeling a lot more relaxed.
Upcoming Appointments or Milestones: I don't have any appointments coming up now until October, and my next ultrasound isn't until the very end of next month.
I'm weaning off of progesterone now; last time I went off of it I had some spotting and my doctor had me go back on it but this time I haven't had anything at all. That's a relief!
QOTW: Tell us about your weekend! What did you do? I got some stuff done around the house and did some shopping. Even though it was pretty quiet I really enjoyed it.
Loss Background (if you're comfortable): MC January 2015
How far along are you (weeks/fruit): 8w4d
How are you feeling physically? Emotionally? Rough day today. Went to second u/s (which was when we found out about our last pregnancy loss) and found out one baby no longer has a HB. The other baby is measuring perfectly with a HR of 170. Greatful that we still have one baby, but mourning the loss of the other, and concerned about what will happen from here. We know there is a chance we can lose the heathy baby when I miscarry the other, so just praying for it all to go as well as possible.
Upcoming Appointments or Milestones: repeat u/s next Monday to check on status
QOTW: Tell us about your weekend! What did you do? Unfortunately I worked all weekend, but next weekend my BFF from home is coming into town for the weekend, looking forward to that.
Loss Background (if you're comfortable): MMC in April 2014 @ 11 weeks, CP in June 2015
How far along are you (weeks/fruit): 9w 1d
How are you feeling physically? Emotionally? Physically I feel much better. Almost human again! I was actually able to eat real food this weekend. But of course my symptoms fading was making me nervous. With my MMC they said the baby had stopped growing at 9 weeks so of course I am so anxious this week. BUT I am feeling a little better at the moment because I just found the baby's heartbeat with my Doppler for the first time!! It was only for a second because I got so excited that I moved and lost it. Such a relief to hear that sweet sound
Upcoming Appointments or Milestones: first OB appointment is a week from today. I'm going to beg for an ultrasound.
QOTW: Tell us about your weekend! What did you do? I hung out with my in laws on Saturday for my FIL's birthday. It was nice but hard not to spill the beans on the pregnant news. DH and I want to wait a bit longer.

NatalieDavid, I'm so sorry for such a scary week. Hugs to you.
sms2524, I'm so very sorry for your loss Sending so many hugs.
How far along are you (weeks/fruit): 9w1d, grape
How are you feeling physically? Emotionally? Physically: pretty good. I've mostly had some heartburn, but nearly threw up three times today. That's new! Emotionally: Feeling positive. I know it's early, but we've seen the heartbeat three times now, and we know little guy is chromosomally normal, so I'm starting to feel a sense of peace.
Upcoming Appointments or Milestones: I graduated from my RE on Friday and my first OB appointment is Monday. And I get to stop my PIO shots on Saturday! (My ass is excited about this milestone...)
QOTW: Tell us about your weekend! What did you do? On Friday, I rode my horse briefly before my mom and I went to the fair together. My horse is a pretty chill guy and RE had given me the ok, but I was still a little nervous. He was awesome and well behaved and I'm glad I did it. On Saturday, my little goddaughter was baptized. And on Sunday, DH and I went to a friend's house to watch football. It was a really lovely weekend!
