I just got out of my appointment with the new OB and so far I love them! I'm going back in for some blood work on Oct 5th, an u/s on the 6th, and a follow up on the 7th. Meanwhile, they're calling my perinatologist and seeing what he thinks should be done and when he wants to see me.

I'm happy with this plan.
Great!
What does the first line mean? Does it refer to the pain you were having? Is that ok?

copy/paste from the board Gettin' Knocked Up.
They didn't seem concerned with the pain yet. They said if it gets more intense or Tylenol isn't enough to call back. Since my betas are so low they wouldn't be able to tell if it was ectopic at this point, so it's just whatever until it gets worse/better or I get the u/s.
@led, that's great news! I'm glad you finally got in with a doctor who seems to be on the same page as you are. FX that everything continues to go well.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a heartbeat! Our u/s went well today (except that they were running late and we had to sweat in the waiting room for an hour) - we are measuring just where I'd expect at 6w4d with a heartbeat of 127 beats per min. We also met with our midwife and she is so rad. They took urine and blood labs, and we'll be back at 11 weeks. She ordered us an additional u/s for the time between if we feel terribly anxious, but we may or may not take it. We'll see. Anyway, we'll start telling close family and friends now - it's such a relief and so exciting to be here!

So I started off with a mid-morning red blood with clots scare, but everything is fine. In fact at my appointment we found out that as of right now we are expecting triplets. One of the embryos split so there is the chance that we could lose one or both of the twin set, so we are keeping the triplet news close to our chest except for people who have been our support system through everything. Since it is before six weeks they did not try to get reads on heart beats, but they did think they saw two of them for sure beating. I go back in two weeks for my next ultrasound.

2nd ultrasound (and last appointment with RE) went perfectly! Baby measures exactly on track (8w4d) and the heart beat was 174bpm. The umbilical cord is heading up which means placenta won't block cervix which is good. We could see baby's little nose bump and he/she even moved for us!!!! I graduate from my RE now and will meet my midwife Tuesday!

Oh and also my OB changed my EDD to be based on ovulation. She is amazing. So many doctors do not get that at all. So my due date is officially May 16th. I move up one day!

Had our ultrasound today and saw a heartbeat! Hooray!! I told my doctor how far along I expected to be from the opk and when she first measured she put me at 7+ weeks and I exclaimed something to the effect of 'that stupid opk was wrong', but then she corrected herself and the actual measurement was right where I expected! So my due date stays at May 14th!
Also, we are not having the extra ultrasounds this time around because everything was fine last time and she said they don't know any proven methods to fix a shortened cervix due to a bicornuate uterus anyway...that's a little depressing. So I guess I'm not considered high risk this time?

That's strange that they'd not have you as high risk with a shortened cervix. Just because they're nothing they can do doesn't mean you stop being high risk. That's weird. But hooray for the heartbeat!!!

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I don't currently have a shortened cervix, just a much higher risk of it due to the anomaly. But yeah, my last doctor didn't feel this way and the every 4 week ultrasounds were comforting, if only to know that everything was still normal. I would guess this doctor is mostly choosing to skip them this time because there was no premature shortening with my son.
