My LO is 6 months and has always eaten 22-24 oz per day. Several sites tell me that 19-30 oz of expressed milk is the norm.
She went from 24th to 20th percentile in weight and pedi said she should be drinking 30 oz but as long as I'm feeding her as often and as much as she wants (which I do), then don't worry about it.
My question is, how old is your LO and how many ounces does he/she eat?
She's 5 months on Sunday and she averages 25-26oz per day. Occasionally we'll have a 22oz day and slightly more often we'll have a 28-29oz day.
Is your LO petite otherwise? You can't really force her to eat more than she wants so it sounds like you're doing the right thing. Is she on any solids yet?

My LO is one month tomorrow and eats 25oz per day, except for growth spurts, where she eats around 32oz per day. She's big (9lbs 4oz at 3 weeks), though, and eats 3oz or so per feeding.
Our ped said that she should generally eat 2-3oz every 2-3 hours but that if she is hitting 25oz/day, we can let her go 4-5 hours between feedings at night.
My DD2 is eating between 20-24 ounces a day and occasionally an ounce or two over that. She is 7 weeks old.
DD1 ate 20oz of formula a day from 2 or 3 months until she was a year old. She never really asked for more and if she was given more she would spit it all up. She did gradually drop in percentiles until 9 months old when she hit the 7th percentile (she stopped spitting up and started gaining more weight then). But my pedi was never concerned because she was gaining weight, just slowly.
My DD is 10mo now. But she never took more than 22-24oz of BM. Shems always been over 97th% for height and 75% for weight. Huge kid. If you are worried, try upping LO's bottles by half oz and see. I knew I was feeding her all she could take bc if I tried to give her larger bottles she spit it back up... We are weaned now and she only eats formula BUT she still can't drink more than 22-24oz.
LO is almost 4 months and takes about 27 oz a day. I know for formula they say 2.5oz per pound, I'm not sure if it's different for pumped milk. At this point I'm just going by if LO seems like she wants more. So far she's in the low percentiles, but the Dr is okay with that bc she is following the line or something like that- consistently in that percentile I guess.
ajacot924 as you know, P is following his curve and no where near the 100th percentile(still under the 50th percentile), but takes about 45-48 oz a day at 7.5 months old. He was checked by the pedi and LC for possibly over eating but they both agreed he wasnt and i must make really low calorie milk. Anyways, point being is its a guidline. Your LO does not *have* to be eating 30 oz a day. As a PP suggested you could try slowly increasing her bottle size. I know a few babies that after 6 months stopped gaining and got taller (resulting in a dropped weight percentage) but it wasnt a concern. Did your pedi seem concerned?
ruemorgan No, he said she's still on the curve so he isn't worried about it. I've been sending bigger bottles to dc and she's finishing them, so hopefully that will help.
