Not off to a good start as I haven't been to sleep yet and am currently laying on the bathroom floor praying I'm done throwing up...every time I try to stand I start sweating and throw up. Please someone put me out of my misery....first time I have ever taken a sick day for myself
Oh no Spikesmom! How awful. I hope you start to feel better soon, do you feel like you have the flu or food poisoning or something?? I'm so sorry, take care of yourself...hopefully someone can watch lo for you!
Thanks kfaye I'm guessing some type of stomach flu/bug because all of my joints ache as well and I'm running a fever so fun times all around. H took lo to daycare thank goodness I have no idea how I would take care of him today
Thanks jjh I just took a zofran dissolvable tablet I had left over from morning sickness but even the taste of that had me gagging :-( thinking I may try some pedialite later if I can get to the kitchen
So I found out that baby slept from when I dropped her off at 7:30 all the way until 2 pm!! That's why she only had time for one bottle. I don't know if she's growing, teething, or trying to get over the congestion she has (or is the congestion related to the teething, who knows?).
Speaking of sleep, I discovered that "Pat the bunny" has magical powers like goodnight moon. If I read it to Liam, he is out like a light within two readings. He loves to pat the bunny and scratch daddy's face. I think the soft bunny helps him to sleep.

Spikesmom - That sounds horrible, but also like the novovirus that spread like wild fire around here this past summer. Hit hard for about 8 hours and then wipes you out and you're fine 24 hours later. But it was pure hell going through, so hoping you are at the end of it.
Zengal - HOLY SMOKES that is a long nap!! Did she not sleep well over night?
Oh man! I hope you're able to stay hydrated and get some rest spikesmom! That sounds horrific.
Zengal - 7am-2:30? that is CRAZY. did she do much snoozing last night?
jjh - welcome back! i haven't been on much and it's good to see you. when i was pregnant we got 4 copies of good night moon and LO has no strong feelings for it whatsoever.
Not much going on here. WFH today and LO is whining up a storm for her sitter. The weather seems to have turned pure fall and while it's normally my run day I'm having some issues with my IT band. I'm going to sit out until Friday to give it lots of rest. Seems every time I'm in a good clip an old injury flares back up. Womp.
Pixie, Goodnight moon took a long time to get those magical powers but now he can't go to sleep without it being in his bedtime routine.
Today may be whine day then. He is whining like crazy too I think tooth number four is breaking through though.
H is away for the next three-four weeks. He may be able to pop home between trips, but he is going to KY, PA, IN, and VA all in that timeframe. Eeep. Good thing we got a full week of nonstop H last week.
Baby has slept well overnight pretty much always (caveat: as long as I'm with her). So I don't really have a good explanation for why she would sleep nearly 7 hours during the day...
Boo for IT band issues Pixie! Learn to love those pistol squats and hip thrusts.
Haha pixie you crack me up. Perhaps maybe try some hip thrusts too.
I have to AW this. I'm switching over Liam's clothes back to fall. And thought I should try last year's patriots hat since it is toddler sized. And it still fits! LOOK AT THOSE CHEEKS

We have a crawler! We also have a back talker. When he crawled into the kitchen and tried eating the doorstop. I said to stop and he sits back points at me and says "Sop!". I got it on video after of me saying no you stop and he did it again. DH was laughing so hard. I guess here we go with the temper tantrums too. He now flings himself back when angry.
Way to go, crawling Isaac! But oh, with the temper tantrums. I got one on video too! Yesterday, when I was trying to do our morning picture, she flung herself back and was just really trying hard to get upset. Lots of huffing and pouting. You can almost watch the gears turning in her head before the tears finally appeared. It's my new favorite video. Is that bad?
Zengal wow that's a crazy long nap! Poor baby must have really needed it, sounds like a growth spurt!
Jjh I'll have to look up pat the bunny...my H reads to lo every night b4 bed and always the same book at the end and I swear when he starts reading it she gets super sleepy! Pixie sucks about your injury! I'm probably only going to get one run in this week which sucks bc I feel like I don't get much out of it then. Hope you can rest up and get back at it Songbirdsinging yay for crawling! my lo just started too, it's crazy to be always on alert!
So I have to aw a bit, lo sttn last night! Well she did a 6 hr stretch, and went back down for another 5hrs. Seriously the most sleep I've had in 9 months (she slept good for the first month )aaannnd she went down for her nap awake and slept for over an hour...I hope she's not teasing me with this awesome sleep but I'll take it today
Haha back talking already?? So cute. Liam sometimes lays on his belly and kicks his feet up and down like I always picture a 2 yr old doing for a tantrum.
Kfaye, that sounds like awesome sleep! I hope that it's not a tease and you get to catch up from the last nine months
LO has mastered the head shake no, but just started tantruming. It's a high pitched squeal cry flop down. I call her senorita dramatic during these episodes.
zengal - if H looked like that maybe we'd hip thrust more.

I forgot to mention while we were in NYC LO decided it was time to really start walking. He now takes upwards of 10 steps and will walk anywhere if he's holding my hand. It's terrifying how mobile this kid is. He does not seem deterred (in the slightest) by falls, etc. He is a very determined little guy. He falls and gets right back up. He's also started saying "hat" but it sounds more like "hot" - the kid LOVES hats and points to anyone wearing one. It's good comedy.
All that and of course ... he still sleeps like crap! *sigh*
Kfaye, that's awesome with the sleeping!! I hope she's not teasing either. Pixie, since your H isn't facilitating your hip thrusts, you can do hip hikes and leg raises instead...? Still cracking me up over that. Ninergirl- walking officially!? Whoa. Just slow down, right?
zengal - yeah, i've been spending the week doing a lot of donkey kicks and squats; plus one legged bridge pose on my bad hip/leg. i've been resting for 1 week and am going to give myself until friday. i'm still feeling some pulling on the right side when i'm stretching.
ninergirl - whoa! 10 steps!! that's awesome. we get 3 or 4 until she realizes what's happening and loses her balance.

zengal & pixie - It's downright terrifying ... he just bops around all over the place. He falls a lot but he takes a LOT of steps before falling now. Its a fun and terrifying milestone.
